HA! You can actually see when the price goes up (and where christmas is because chemists do take holidays). Acetonitrile is an industrial solvent that at the end of 2008 had the price of it SKYROCKET to nearly 10 to 20 times the original cost (it used to be dirt cheap). Believe it or not, the price of it went up because the majority of acetonitrile came cheaply as a buy product for creating the carpet lining used on the floor of cars. Economy collapses in 2008, cars get hit bad, and they stop getting produced. Thus, less acetonitrile, and the price jumps.

HA! This used to be my favorite band. They pretty fell into obscurity despite being quite popular for 10 years. They made mediocure album in 2005, then a diabolically bad album in 2007 and it killed their reputation.
