Possible solutions to the worlds problems

When we look around at whats happening in the world it can look pretty bleak at times so as requested from a few forumites i'd like to talk a bit about some possible solutions

Some of these ideas will be small and some will look at creating entirely new systems. This might take a bit of time to roll out though as its a big topic and an ongoing topic. Please feel free to contribute; all ideas are welcome

The various crises going on at the moment can be alarming but at the same time they are opportunities for positive change as hardship can act as a catalyst to motivate people

One of the biggest changes occuring is the communication at grass roots level as people across the world share ideas over the internet. This is causing what one member of the global elite has called a ''universal awakening of mass political consciousness'' (Bzrezinski) as people are realising that the challenges they are facing are also being faced by others around the world and that the causes of these problems can often be traced back to the same people

The dynamics are simple. If one worker lays down their tools and says they have had enough and want change, the ruling class won't even notice. If a million workers lay down their tools then the ruling class get a little nervous, but if 10 million workers lay down their tools then they can bring an economy to a grinding halt (of a medium sized country)

The power to create change on the grand scale therefore requires enough people to first of all have the awareness of what is going on and then to recognise their shared problem before then organising so that they may then take the required action to demand the necessary change

So the first stage is an awareness one as people not only educate themselves about what is going on but help others to see as well.

Without widespread awareness then no movement will ever even get off the ground

The internet provides the perfect tool to enable not only the growth of awareness but also the understanding of the shared nature of the problem and also the means by which people can then organise into a group and coordinate their efforts

There are signs that the organisation stage is already underway nationally and globally

The two party political system is clearly a sham as both parties have proven over time that they each serve the interests of big money and its corporations

In effect the two main political parties are simply two wings of the same business party taking it in turns to play good cop/bad cop roles in order to fool the public

The way this keeps us all under control is illustrated in the clip below:

[video=youtube;OckOO0uIFCQ]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OckOO0uIFCQ#t=718[/video]

So whats the answer?

Clearly big money will use its power to try to infiltrate and subvert any party that begins to gain traction among the public

The US constitution was created to protect the public against the insidious influence of the central bankers who are now effectively dismantling the constitution bit by bit

So should we vote for new radical parties such as the pirate party (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirate_Parties_International) or should we as some are now advocating decline to vote at all?

One thing is for sure...if we keep voting for the two main parties then they can continue to claim that they have our democratic mandate to rule...so perhaps we need to stop doing that!

Voting with our feet whether it is rejecting a political party that is representing the interests of big money and not the interests of the people or boycotting corporations that are unethical or don't pay their taxes or leaving organisations that are corrupt is surely a pretty good way to effect change

Some people have advocated after the 2008 financial crisis that people should take their money out of the banks that have proven themselves corrupt and put them into ethical institutions such as community credit unions. (see for example the move your money campaign: http://www.moveyourmoneyproject.org/)

The Bank of North Dakota has been described by some as a good example of how a bank should function.

The following clip gives a pretty clear description of how the banking system really works and what a scam it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFDe5kUUyT0#t=89

Even the mainstream media is saying the corporations run the political system. This is why the government is now attacking the press:

Positive signs are occuring that dissent is even creeping into the mainstream media. See for example this clip of a news anchor getting angry at the two party system:

[video=youtube;A3BHujm3cpY]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3BHujm3cpY#t=66[/video]

Change only comes when problems come out of the shadows, are recognised and then faced. When these issues hit the mainstream then change occurs

People at ZNet have been developing ideas for a system beyond capitalism called 'parecon' (participatory economics)

I'm not advocating full support for this, i'm jut going to throw out a bunch of different ideas as food for thought and possibly discussion

More info can be found here: http://www.zcommunications.org/topics/parecon

From wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Participatory_economics):

Participatory economics, often abbreviated parecon, is an economic system proposed primarily by activist and political theorist Michael Albert and radical economist Robin Hahnel, among others. It uses participatory decision making as an economic mechanism to guide the production, consumption and allocation of resources in a given society. Proposed as an alternative to contemporary capitalist market economies and also an alternative to centrally planned socialism, it is described as "an anarchistic economic vision",[SUP][1][/SUP] and is a form of socialism, since in a parecon the means of production are owned in common.
The underlying values that parecon seeks to implement are equity, solidarity, diversity, workers' self-management and efficiency. (Efficiency here means accomplishing goals without wasting valued assets.) It proposes to attain these ends mainly through the following principles and institutions:

Albert and Hahnel stress that parecon is only meant to address an alternative economic theory and must be accompanied by equally important alternative visions in the fields of politics, culture and kinship. The authors have also discussed elements of anarchism in the field of politics, polyculturalism in the field of culture, and feminism in the field of family and gender relations as being possible foundations for future alternative visions in these other spheres of society. Stephen R. Shalom has begun work on a participatory political vision he calls "par polity". Both systems together make up the political philosophy of Participism. Participatory Economics has also significantly shaped the interim International Organization for a Participatory Society.

Another vision out there at the moment is the venus project

The following clip shows a film which talks about how automation is causing unemployment. Althought on the surface this is ominous, the makers of the film argue that it should not be so as technology should improve the quality of life; they see no problem with people working less and machines taking up the slack

of course for such a world to materialise the workers would still need to wrestle control off the current ruling class who are only interested in using technology to control the masses (see Snowdens revelations about NSA spying on the public)

At the end of the clip they present their vision of a heavily automated world. once again i am not fully endorsing this, but i do like the idea that technology should be used to help us rather than be used against us:

The following is a clip about the role 'derivitives' have played in damaging the global economy. The problem is that the governments in the west have not stopped the derivitive markets so they are allowing a new crisis to develop....except the next crisis will be too big to bailout

The clip argues that a solution is for governments to regulate against derivitives

As discussed in a previous post the main political parties are completely corrupted by big business (banks and other corporations) so they will not legislate against them especially as the main financial contributors of the politicians political campaigns are the corporations

So what is need to force legislation is new political parties that reflect the will of the people and also pressure from the people through activism (in its many forms eg boycotts, protests etc) to generate the political will to pass the necessary laws

of course before people take action they need to have passed through the awareness stage and for enough people to act to make a difference, enough people must have passed through the awareness stage:

[video=youtube;MZTz1BFvyD0]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZTz1BFvyD0#t=297[/video]

The necessary anti-trust laws needed to break up the giant monopolistic corporations which have called themselves 'too big to fail' already exist in the US in the form of RICO. All that is required for the laws to be applied is the political will:

A response by the public to the revelations about how the government are spying on their every phone call, text, email or online activity might be to data bomb their system:

[video=youtube;X3rwoVLYfto]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3rwoVLYfto[/video]

A website has been created online where people can 'crowdfund' (ie pitch their money into acheive a project; see for example george galloways recently crowd funded film ''the killing of tony blair'') the assassination of certain people responsible for the economic crisis and other attacks on the people of the world

Once again i'm not advocating violence, i'm just throwing stuff out there

Here's information about it from a mainstream UK newspaper:

3D printers are now available that can now manufacture goods in your home. This means that a person need not be dependent on the corporations for the creation of certain goods:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_printing

There is an interview at about 15 mins in the following clip with a person involved in various activities on the 'dark web' which are often beyond the reach of governments:

http://rt.com/shows/keiser-report/episode-524-max-keiser-773/

Also discussed is the need for encryption online to get around government surveillance for example TOR which enables anonymous browsing:

https://www.torproject.org/

There are currently protests going on globally against the mainstream media which has failed to report on important issues because it is owned by big money

The following clip is about the need for people to vote with their feet and switch off the mainstream media and to begin looking to the alternative media for the real news:

[video=youtube;u7juFjHw4S0]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7juFjHw4S0#t=52[/video]

There are various ideas on the internet about how the inventor Tesla had uncovered new technology that offered abundant free energy to humanity so the bankers (who also control the big 4 oil companies) had him killed. Ever since they have used patents to stop the development of newer cleaner energies that might damage their petrochemical profits

So greater use of alternative energy sources is another solution as discussed by the 'Breakthrough Energy Conference':

Our foods are being contaminated by additives and also the chemicals sprayed on them as pesticides and fungicides.

The documentary 'Food Inc' was enough to get me buying more organic food to get around these harmful chemicals and to use my consumer power to make a change by helping to create a demand for organic food (voting with our feet): http://documentaryaddict.com/Food+Inc-2174-documentary.html

The ruling class have created a war economy where they make massive profits from death and destruction. They need our consent to go to war though and the largescale withdrawel of consent by the public saw the british parliament vote against going to war in syria recently

The US public was also overwhelmingly against the war and the US government has so far chosen to negotiate with the syrians. however the Israeli leadership has been calling for more war and has flown bombing raids in syria to try and provoke a conflict

The dnager now is that the Israelis will stage a false flag attack which will then drag the US into a war. So the public needs to be vigilent and if something disastrous happens in the near future, not to react in a knee jerk way like they did after 9/11 because what the resulting 'war on terror' which the war profiteering ruling class declared in the wake of that event has done is seen the debt of the US skyrocket, hundreds of thousands of people killed and maimed, infrastructure in many countries damaged and chaos spread across the middle east which will probably blow back against the west, while the bankers have got richer through war loans

So vigilence is needed by the public who must refuse war unless their own soil itself is threatened

To create the perception of a threat to native soil however the ruling class might stage a 'false flag' attack on US or UK soil eg a 'dirty bomb being exploded':

From wikipedia:

False flag (or black flag) describes covert military or paramilitary operations designed to deceive in such a way that the operations appear as though they are being carried out by other entities, groups or nations than those who actually planned and executed them. Operations carried during peace-time by civilian organizations, as well as covert government agencies, may by extension be called false flag operations if they seek to hide the real organization behind an operation.
The name "false flag" has its origins in naval warfare where the use of a flag other than the belligerent's true battle flag as a ruse de guerre, before engaging the enemy, has long been acceptable. Such operations are also acceptable in certain circumstances in land warfare, to deceive enemies in similar ways providing that the deception is not perfidious and all such deceptions are discarded before opening fire upon the enemy.

So here is a list of telltale signs to help spot possible false flag attacks:

The interview at 15 mins of the following clip looks at how people for example in Greece where austerity is biting hard could circumvent the paper currencies of the central banks which are imposing the austerity through creating their own digital currencies

The host max keiser suggests using the already existant 'bitcoin' crypto currency:

I mentioned earlier the phenomenon of 'crowdfunding' where you can appeal to people online to help fund a project of some kind:

From wikipedia:

Crowdfunding (alternately crowd financing, equity crowdfunding, crowd-sourced fundraising) is the collective effort of individuals who network and pool their money, usually via the Internet, to support efforts initiated by other people or organizations.[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][2][/SUP] Crowdfunding is used in support of a wide variety of activities, including disaster relief, citizen journalism, support of artists by fans, political campaigns, startup company funding,[SUP][3][/SUP] motion picture promotion,[SUP][4][/SUP] free software development, inventions development, scientific research,[SUP][5][/SUP] and civic projects.[SUP][6][/SUP]
Crowdfunding can also refer to the funding of a company by selling small amounts of equity to many investors. This form of crowdfunding has recently received attention from policymakers in the United States with direct mention in the JOBS Act; legislation that allows for a wider pool of small investors with fewer restrictions.[SUP][2][/SUP] While the JOBS Act awaits implementation, hybrid models, such as Mosaic Inc., are using existing securities laws to enable the public in approved states to invest directly in projects as part of a crowd.
Crowdfunding has its origins in the concept of crowdsourcing, which is the broader concept of an individual reaching a goal by receiving and leveraging small contributions from many parties. Crowdfunding is the application of this concept to the collection of funds through small contributions from many parties in order to finance a particular project or venture.[SUP][7][/SUP]
Crowdfunding models involve a variety of participants.[SUP][8][/SUP] They include the people or organizations that propose the ideas and/or projects to be funded, and the crowd of people who support the proposals. Crowdfunding is then supported by an organization (the "platform") which brings together the project initiator and the crowd.

Various crowdfunding sites exist for example 'kickstarter': http://www.kickstarter.com/

But people can pool their resources in other ways

In the UK and US the banks are currently reposessing the homes of many people who are now unable to make their payments due to the changing economic climate (which the banks themselves changed!)

But hundreds of people in Ireland have banded together to pay for a good legal team to represent their interests against the banks and they are scoring victories:

[video=youtube;iQFFK20wOD0]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQFFK20wOD0#t=204[/video]

The banks collapsed in 2008 due to their own recklass trading and coerced and corrupted the politicians into bailing them out with our taxpayer money to keep them afloat, but their next trick is to do a 'bank bail in'.

If a 'bail out' is where the government uses tax payers money to pay the banks debts (to the global investors) then a bank 'bail in' is when the banks simply take money straight from the bank accounts of depositors...and yes they can do that

It is in the small print of the agreement that you have with your bank that when you put your money into an account with them you don't actually own it, they do

They have already done this in cyprus where they declared a 'bank holiday' that saw people queuing at ATM's unable to access their money whislt they swooped on peoples accounts and took a percentage of their money

This was a dry run for the US and Europe

Still want to keep your money in their corrupt banks?

Here's some info about it:

http://globalresearch.ca/the-confiscation-of-bank-savings-to-save-the-banks/5329411

Some recommend putting money into bitcoin, some advise silver and some advise gold

I don't think credit unions will participate in the bail ins

The Usury Free Network is advocating a world free from usury: http://usuryfree.blogspot.ca/2013/11/usuryfree-power-vs-usury-force.html

From wikipedia:

Usury (/ˈjuːʒəri/[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][2][/SUP]) is the practice of making unethical or immoral monetary loans. Depending on the local laws or social mores, a loan may be considered usurious because of excessive or abusive interest rates. According to some jurisdictions and customs, simply charging any interest at all can be considered usury.[SUP][3][/SUP][SUP][4][/SUP][SUP][5][/SUP] Other terms used for usury or usurers include loan shark, as well as Shylock which is sometimes used with an antisemitic connotation[SUP][citation needed][/SUP].
The term may be used in a moral sense — condemning taking advantage of others' misfortunes — or in a legal sense where interest rates may be regulated by law. Historically, some cultures (e.g., Christianity in much of Medieval Europe, and Islam in many parts of the world today) have regarded charging any interest for loans as sinful.
Some of the earliest known condemnations of usury come from the Vedic texts of India.[SUP][6][/SUP] Similar condemnations are found in religious texts from Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam (the term is riba in Arabic and ribbit in Hebrew).[SUP][7][/SUP] At times, many nations from ancient China to ancient Greece to ancient Rome have outlawed loans with any interest. Though the Roman Empire eventually allowed loans with carefully restricted interest rates, the Christian church in medieval Europe banned the charging of interest at any rate (as well as charging a fee for the use of money, such as at a bureau de change).
The pivotal change in the English-speaking world seems to have come with the permission to charge interest on lent money,[SUP][8][/SUP] particularly the 1545 act, "An Act Against Usurie" (37 H.viii 9) of King Henry VIII of England (see book references).

Islamic banking already forbids it:

From wikipedia:

Islamic banking (Arabic: المصرفية الإسلامية‎) is banking or banking activity that is consistent with the principles of sharia and its practical application through the development of Islamic economics. As such, a more correct term for 'Islamic banking' is 'Sharia compliant finance'.[SUP][1][/SUP] Sharia prohibits the fixed or floating payment or acceptance of specific interest or fees (known as riba, or usury) for loans of money. Investing in businesses that provide goods or services considered contrary to Islamic principles is also haraam ("sinful and prohibited"). Although these principles have been applied in varying degrees by historical Islamic economies due to lack of Islamic practice, only in the late 20th century were a number of Islamic banks formed to apply these principles to private or semi-private commercial institutions within the Muslim community.[SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][3][/SUP]
