Post-punk for Dummies

We need some Wire. @Skarekrow apologies if you already shared those in the punk thread.

Hey they were a highly underrated band who actually influenced a lot of other musicians to follow.
Here is a really great cover of ‘The 15th’ BTW.

This is awesome! But hey, Skare, don't get me started with the Wire covers...

Here's "Outdoor Miner" covered by shoegaze band Lush:

And here's "Map Ref. 41N 93W" covered by another shoegaze band: MBV :<3purple:

I did see the Jesus Lizard :) no Swans though :(

You're still lucky :) I'm hoping to see Swans someday. They are one of my favorite bands. It's been tough finding people who share my passion, though. It's like Swans are... too weird, too experimental or too brutal for them basically. Here's a Swans song that I consider a kind of post-punk masterpiece:

Anyone enjoy Swans here? They are such a great band, constantly reinventing themselves!

Contemporary post-punk Turkish band, with a darkwave feel. I recommend it!

Contemporary post-punk Italian band. I recommend it also!
