I was in USCG...which is like boarder patrol, drug enforcement, and sea rescues all in one.
I have a good friend who was a Psychological Warfare Specialist for the Army (conversely, the same job they proposed to me when I talked to the Army recruiter...I had a really good ASVAB score).
Anyhow, he is as liberal as you can get...but still Patriotic enough to serve.
There is a good percentage of the military that really liked Obama and voted for him too.
This new ad is really straight up propaganda and fearmongering.
Sowing more distrust and hatred as they point out how those they have moral qualms with their ways of life are putting them under assault...so are you going to shoot them now....wtf NRA?

Do you actually believe that the majority of liberals are violent and want to murder other people? If you do, you've been listening to too much Alex Jones and Dana Loesch and maybe you need to take a walk and talk to other people because you are way out of touch. There are rioters and nut jobs (like that guy who shot up a congressional baseball game) but these criminals do not represent half of the population. They are lunatic fringe.

The individual in the interview that I linked to actually served the US in the armed forces. He knows way more than you or any pundits about combat. I don't suspect he is the only member the NRA has alienated with their violent propaganda, either. I wish I could be shocked that you'd call him a drooling idiot and disrespect him so merely for not buying into your civil war hype... As Trump would say, "Sad!"

No you don't want to murder people directly, the left just pushes the less stable that direction rather than do it themselves? Proof? When you have politicians suggesting other politicians asked for themselves to be shot. Not strongly and repeatedly condemning that type of violence and making it clear that's not what the party is about. So yes, of course the left wants to see people who dont agree with them get hurt badly and the more the better. Proof? All you have to do is watch the news and see who is attacking who.

The U.S. military is not directly tied to the NRA. Yes a lot of NRA supporters come from the military but it's not like the military speaks for the NRA. Again I could care less what this person has to say. There are better ways to protest and ending your membership is such an insignificant thing. It's not like giving up your citizenship.

Politicians do not actually represent people. I know they should, but really, they don't. And whoever said the Republican members of Congress and their staff who were shot asked for it is a moron. I'm a liberal and I think Democrats suck as bad as I think Republicans suck. And I don't want to kill anyone.

I never claimed the military was tied to the NRA. But I personally respect his service and his position, given that he has actually fought in wars while Wayne LaPierre and Dana Loesch merely get off on the idea of other people killing each other for their bizarro agenda.
(NRA just wants to sell guns. Dana Loesch has tied herself to their brand. Guarantee neither give a shit about violence. They are just trying to scare you into buying guns and joining the NRA and tuning into her show so you can get a cheap thrill dreaming about the blood of liberals washing through your streets.) It's pretty psychotic, really.

The man in the interview, Joe Plenzler, is standing up for his principles. He is thinking for himself. But that makes him an idiot. A man who actually fought for this country is an idiot because he disagrees with the NRA...

Youve never met Wayne nor Dana and I think it's exceptionally difficult to make your statements about what they "get off on" and what they don't. That's your brain being reactive.

I don't respect killing of children and innocents, no. What is your point with that? My point was that here is a person who has seen that side of combat... And has an informed opinion on what is happening here.

You are wrong if you think that any pundit that you listen to on either side isn't trying to sell you something. It's a show. On both sides. The scary thing is that you take it so seriously. My point is that the only reason you respect him is because he supports a position you already hold. The fact he's a marine is just icing on the cake for whatever point you are trying to relay.

Civil wars are nasty things. Brother against brother etc... I don't see anything turning us off the path to that future.

I believe the action that I see that the media reports on.
The civil war has already started. We will see it escalate for reasons already stated. People will participate in its escalation when they find it on their door step.
