Regarding forum conflicts (please read)

oh I forgot to mention one more thing, nobody should use "people here dislike you" and I have heard it many times in the short time I was here!.
So you've heard this many times? I wonder what it could mean!

Nobody hired anybody else here to speak for them as far as I know.
I'll do it for free. No hiring needed.

Another superiority complex, too sad.
What do you call it when you have to jam yourself in every which way you can?

I'll ask you what you asked me by the way: Are you a moderator?

And seriously. Now you're going to tell people how to run the place? You're out of your flipping mind.

I move that amad cease his contentious behavior until such time that he can demonstrate he's not trolling for conflict. As I said before, the fact that he came to the forum without introduction or posting anything of positive value as of yet is indicative of this. People can have contentious beliefs, but they usually hold off on sharing them upon arrival into a new environment that they wish to be accepted in.

Your thoughts?

One only has to use logic and read the posts in the forum to see that people here do in fact (for real) dislike you.
I however didn’t see anyone say to me “Hey, I really like that amad guy you should go easy on him” after I posted any response to you.
And once again, you completely ignored the whole entire section about what constitutes a “factual” statement.
Look in the mirror harder this time.

Your thoughts?

I don't know anyone who has managed to cause trouble in three different threads in such a short time span. Even muir only copy pasted stuff most of the time.

True, and he's banned now as well. I'm being lenient in not advocating his immediate banning, but would be happy to see it just as well.

You should apologize for your obvious breach of social etiquette if you are sincere and genuine in your desire to remain at this forum.

Why hasn't amad been banned yet? We close an entire thread but we don't ban the one person in that thread who is the problem. I want him banned. I don't trust him. He isn't a valued member of the forum.

@rawr @Dragon

1. use your ignore function.
2. please don't drag me into your crap
3. One thread does not warrant a ban if it's a legitimate topic of discussion

I believe in the power of the ignore list. Of course, if a lot of people report certain posts, it makes it a lot easier to do something about and gives it much more weight than if its me alone.

Firstly, I have no problem with amad's views nor do I feel the need to ignore him. What I do have a problem with is his behavior in going about expressing his views and how it affects everybody else of the forum be they new users or established users.

Let me refer you all to the rules of the forum:

Don't:
1.Use the forum to disseminate indecent, obscene or pornographic material.
2.Use the forum to violate or conspire to violate United States federal law.
3.Attack or provoke another member or group of members by means of insult, ad hominem, rudeness or button-pushing.
4.Disturb the peace of the forum via hostile advancement of religious, political, ethnic, sexual or other agendas.
5.Violate privacy or compromise anonymity of other members without their permission.
6.Use the forum to advertise for personal gain.
7.Display vulgar or garish signatures, avatars or profile fields.

Policies

As a general rule guiding enforcement of those listed above: we moderate in order to promote coherence, legality and friendliness in discussion. Actions taken by staff seek to preserve all three of those qualities to the greatest possible degree. Consequently, items that disrupt coherence, compromise legality or poison the friendly atmosphere are to be edited, deleted or moved as necessary.

Moderating Users
Established users who repeatedly violate the rules will be administered infractions. See here for the details of our system.
New Users
Users who have made fewer than 42 posts may be subject to more immediate consequences following rule violations. Those who begin by making questionable posts (be they inflammatory, spamming, off-topic or incoherent) will be placed in the "moderation bin" — meaning their posts will be displayed only pending approval by staff. Users dealt with in this manner will also be messaged, and depending on their replies, may be restored to full privileges or banned without further ado. These procedures are intended to prevent obvious trolls and spammers from inflicting rapid damage while infractions and other, slower measures are being taken.

Suggesting to use the ignore function is placing the burden of policy enforcement on every other user than the one who necessitates it.

Edit: Also to clarify, I'm not advocating an immediate or permanent banning, but some form of adjudication does seem warranted. If we all need to go and report his posts to make it formal, then I will do so and encourage others to do so.

Your third point is contradindicated by the fact that one of the preceding threads was closed.

Take a good look at the last paragraph and think about the intention and spirit of this rule

I don't like to report people but if that is what has to happen I will do it.

I think you qualify very well for that rule Matt, but I am not gonna report you : )

I didn't begin by accusing homosexuals of child molestation right off the bat, but thanks for trying.
