Further to Entyqua's thread about social class habits and concerning US enslavment of Central and South America:

Chomsky is definately essential reading and John Pilger's documentaries are very informative, for example:

  • 'The War on Democracy' which covers the US backed coup against Chavez in 2002, followed by a break down of US interference in Central and South America
  • 'War by Other Means' which explains how the US uses the IMF and the World Bank to control other countries. Incidentally Argentina which came close to financial ruin whilst it followed IMF/World Bank instructions has made a recovery once it stopped listening to the World Bank/IMF
