What's great about new "future funk" artists like Yung Bae and Yung Gravy is that they create renewed interest in the classics through their mixes. Yung Bae's "Magic" (2017), although pretty nice tune in itself is a total "copycat" throwback to Teena Marie's 1981 "It Must Be Magic". It's what I was saying in another thread here about copycats: Copycats are great when they pay some respect to the original, and it keeps the groove of the past alive for another generation to enjoy. But like they say: Ain't nothin' like the real thing-that is, there's nothing likethe original jam:

Great as always but after this listen I appreciate it even more.
