The emotional state you're in while you take the test usually shows in the results.
Try to look at it another way: the description they give is in part the best you can be and the worst you can be, both at the same time. You can't be one without the other. Most of the time it fluctuates like hell, whereas other days you get to nurture your soul and level off emotionally. Being aware of it is important and negligible. It can help you focus and distract you from what is important to you.
The result is not important. If you're determined to look deep, it can give you a direction in which to develop. It's not easy, so my advice is to take a peek every once in a while when you're up for it.
Interpreting questions, like you say, is really the stupid part of these tests. I'd prefer someone were to also analyse my annoations - it would probably make for a more accurate result than the thing itself
If you take a look from the outside towards the inside and then the way they interact, the enneagram starts to make more sense. Otherwise, it is a system that falls apart very easily. I'm guessing this is why you haven't got into it?
