It's like they miss out on about 60% of life, because that subterranean Fi is perpetually obscured to them.

They kinda know it's there, but equally can't really connect with its presence, and so you find them ascribing emotional experiences to other facets of their personality like self-interest.

They don't have a void at their core, but it feels to them like they might.
