[INFJ] Why does this site see such little traffic? Usually anything I say is forgotten :)

Hi again. Hello old friends :)

@dang, thanks for taking the time to reply.
FYI, wall of text posts are not easy to read. Use some line breaks, man!

Post however you like, but the wall of text is not an inspiring format to read.

Anyway, Idk why you accused me of being passive-aggressive. Im sharing my personal experience and assessment of the problem.

I think the forum should have mods in place to delete porn posts, spam, and to guard against predators.

In my opinion, this place was way better in the past.
I could be wrong, but I think the excessive bans Ive witnessed in the past are a big reason why this forum is not active.

Banning people from their community is an extreme action. Bans should be reserved only for serious violations.

What was your reason for banning @muir? DM me if you want to respond in private.

I joined the forum after he was banned. I actually encountered him briefly on another forum, shortly before he was banned there. There seems to be a trend. I was kidding about owning this forum. I am a plebeian nobody.

I don't see the point in posting. I went back and forth with muir a lot for example and looking back on it I can see it was such a waste of time. I could have been doing anything else. It didn't make me happy, it didn't achieve anything, I didn't profit from it, and I'm pretty sure he didn't either.

There's so much that is just pointless.

At least you learned the hard way to pick your battles and not to waste time arguing with people who are unreceptive to reason.

Fuck, not this muir shit again. This isn't the only forum that banned him. The only things that suck about this forum is how obsessed people are with the idea that it was better in the past, and all these lame threads that get made about the forum being constipated or not active enough. Quit your pointless, unconstructive wailing and moaning and make a thread about an actual legitimate discussion topic. There are plenty of worthy members, new and old, to discuss things with you, if you could be bothered noticing their existence.

This forum was way better back in May. That was the real golden age.

I can't see it anymore of course, but Xenforo has a thingamawhat in the admin control panel where it actually graphs forum traffic, and you can use it to chart other things too, like number of new member registrations, profile posts, likes being given, etc. Last I was able to check, all of that, including traffic, has consistently been on the rise since the switch to Xenforo in July, which is the opposite of how traffic historically and naturally tends to go here; usually it's busiest during the summer, and slower after the season is over. I've noticed that threads are growing much faster lately too, so much so that I can't really keep up.

Since muir has been brought up (again), I can't speak for the staff decision to ban since that was before I joined staff, but I know it was not an easy decision to make and followed many warnings and infractions. It is true that he has been banned from other forums as well. He joined a different MBTI forum just this year, and was banned after only 1 month, whereas he lasted for years here. His ban has also been discussed to death here already. I had some good interactions with the guy, but at this point we are long past moving forward.

This forum is also far less regulated and far more under-staffed than the vast majority of other forums I've frequented. Every single warning or infraction is decided upon as a group, and then one member of staff volunteers to give the infraction, after the group has decided. Typically who gives this gets rotated so it's not just one member of staff giving out the majority of infractions, since when members get infracted they can mistakenly think it's personal even though staff acts as a group, and take it out on the member of staff giving the infraction. That way the flak gets more evenly distributed amongst staff (one member once got so angry at the staff member who gave his infraction, he posted about a dozen times on her blog screaming at her in caps lock, cussing, spewing insults and vitriol, and then also posted a few similar things on her profile). Such things can make it difficult to stay on staff, which is one of the reasons why so many have stepped down and retired. I respect the staff for what they do, and I've seen them on many occasions not only act as staff, but as great human beings to members when they were in a crisis and needed help and support.

There are plenty of amazing members here, and amazing members who have left. I respect both the decision to stay, and the decision to leave, as life is complicated and as I've stated elsewhere on here recently, can take us in a different direction. I am still getting to know the recent influx of new members, but so far they have been wonderful, and I am glad that I've been able to get to know them.

I disagree; your thoughts seem much more organised now, than they did many moons ago. Even though I can't attribute this to your discussions with Muir with certainty, it would seem that being forced to make more coherent replies in discussion probably contributed to your refinement.

I truly believe that the take home message we get from utterly redundant threads like this is that if you want to generate discussion, then post threads and take time to write constructive and thoughtful replies to other members.

If you just want to complain about how the discussion that other members are producing and engaging in isn't wild enough to capture your attention, maybe your valuable time would be better spent doing something that does keep you interested.

Believe it or not, there are people here who are actively participating in each other's lives, sharing things and reaching out to each other, and getting along pretty well.
Perhaps this approach might gain more traction with the intended audience: Don't belittle what isn't an issue for you, but is to someone else. That's such a close-minded and self-referenced way of speaking down to others (from an imaginary and invalid loftiness).

Coherent thoughts aren't worth much without purpose or motivation.

I don't have issues with making blanket statements about some groups. For example: all pedophiles shouldn't be trusted around kids... and should probably undergo cognitive behavioral therapy, or be neutered.

I have many blanket views (in my bed).
I bet every night you give your pillow head and your sheets some ass.

For the record, this picture is a symbolic representation of me, @Milktoast Bandit, and @Night Owl interacting on the Derail this Thread thread. I am the one who is not aroused of course. And Night Owl is the speedo wearing one obviously.
Didn't you post a dick pic before and get banned?
