It would take a very strong mindset to do that because I think you'll end up being impartial to everything.
Curiosity would be the sole motivator then...so I don't know.
Even if you planet hop, every planet you inhabit will eventually cease to be one way or another. Imagine outliving multiple planets. Forever is a looooooooooooooong time.
