Yeah, I'm pretty good with kids. Maybe they find my awkward refusal to talk to them like a character from Barney endearing. When they're not stealing from me, egging my car, or puking all over me, kids and I usually get along just fine.
Yeah really. It was starting to get downright feudal over there...
Haha! The children will ask me for money. My ex-boyfriend had these two obnoxious twins (7 years old I would guess) in his old apt. building. All they ever did was ask me for money, steal my belongings when I was making my way up the stairs (I had to chase them as discreetly as an adult can chase a screaming child down the street) and ask me for Hannah Montana books.
Sheesh!
I did leave. It got strange there. The landlord and his family were coming over and having bbqs in the yard. Then I decided to have a bonfire and make some s'mores and all hell breaks loose. The neighbor is calling the landlord, the landlord is calling me telling me,"That yard is private property. You only rent the house."Which is bullshit since I specifically asked him before signing the lease about the land and my rights to it and was told that I could use the land. I figured, I'm payin all this money to be hassled? It was a beautiful cottage. I just couldn't stay in a place where I was being watched and restricted. I moved into a complex few towns over. Seems ok there.Too many children about (but they're ok. They held the door while I hauled in my junk.) And the lady across the hall never closes her door so I feel like a voyeur whenever I'm leaving and she happens to be standing there in her underwear. There's a pretty wooded area right outside my porch. That shall suffice for now.
If I could perform, it would be a dream come true.
Wow, your music life sounds like so much fun. When I was in high school, I tried to join a few bands, but they wanted to go different places with the music than I wanted to go. Back in the 90s it was all about power chords and no one paid attention to what the music was about (as far as metal goes).
How did you meet your bandmates... how did you get started? Were you shy at first?
I don't know one thing about the music scene! I'm enrolled for a voice class in the fall so hopefully I will meet some people who can shove me in the right direction. I'm 28 years old and have been singing since I can remember... I have been very shy about it and just very clueless about what to do next. I always assumed I would sing classical since I have a large range, but I like to sing many types of music. What kind of music/instruments do you play?
Yes, I posted a clip of Edelweiss on the "what do INFJs sound like" thread. I guess you can say that singing is my secret passion. I dream of singing professionally.
In my neck of the woods, eh? Life is excellent. There's been quite a bit of change, so I feel invigorated. I recently moved and made a few new friends.. My finances are better. Life is good. Thanks for askin'!
Thanks, I appreciate it. I don't expect anyone to understand, but I do expect people to show some type of common courtesy. Thanks for being one of those people!
