  • It really depends on what portions of chemistry you will be using and the specific skill set with it. What exactly are you going for?
Haha it's just something I love to do :) It's been a while since I've really drawn much though -- most of the stuff on there is a year or two old...I need to crack down some.
Next year :D Indigo's the one interested in chemistry -- I'm more into physics/biology/astronomy myself :B But I'll probably be studying psychology and animation
Not any good ones. But I am always on the look out.

Im watchign the show Dexter right now. It is pretty good. I watched Manhunter just last night and it was very good as well. Hannibal Lecter was played by the same guy who played the dad in Big Fish!
That's exactly what it is. I'm really impressed you did the research. That particular passage got me thru some tough years.
lol. No snow here, yet. It's cold sometimes, erm . . . if you don't like the weather in Missouri, stick around for 15 minutes. Seriously, it can change that fast. ;)
I haven't seen it yet, but I looked it up and I definitely will! I love these kind of documentaries/movies. It makes you realize there's more to life than what we see everyday around us, doesn't it.

And it's true, we could learn a lot from them. Especially from those two pandas ;) Thanks for the link to the movie!
I think your avatar is officially the cutest picture I have ever seen. Okay, that was totally random. Have a nice day. :)
That's very true about simplifying topics, but still a lot of information! But yeah, I love that idea of re-organizing, and then it wouldn't seem like so much. That program is amazing! I would like to have it even now that I'm out of high school. I think you're right about the "complexity." I mean, I'm no science whiz, and I definitely can't speak the lingo, but I can grasp the concepts, even a lot of the more complex concepts, so it could definitely be presented in an easier way. You need to be in charge of this sort of thing. :)
Thanks, Ishmael sounds like a very interesting book, I should read it. I agree that there's too much, but actually many topics can be simplified, joined, re-organized, so that it's easier. Also the visual approach is very powerful and saves time. For example, imagine instead of writing chem. formulas, we directly operate with molecules in 3D computer space. And there could be far better educational programs made, see this one:

Most of the "complexity" of the way science is presented right now is not needed. It can be reduced and made more functional instead.
Yeah, I have wondered before if there is anything that is not under the classification of science or religion, but even those two intermix with each other! It really is all science isn't it? That's a good point about Food Science, but of course, excluding the idea that school isn't necessarily meant to teach as much as it is meant to occupy (Ever read Ishmael by Daniel Quinn??), then there is so much that we could learn that would be useful that it is a wonder we ever even breach the surface! I just mean that there are a ton of topics with useful applications that we never know about, don't you think?
    :)

I actually like to write Satire, though I don't think I'm very good at it, nor do I know for sure what I will write for sure yet. I'm open to anything, I know when my muse gives me some good material, I'll know what to do with it.

what sort of science do you like? I'm absolutely fascinated with Quantum mechanics and Physics, though I'm not much of a scientist, mostly dabbling. Conceptualizing time travel is a sort of obsession of mine.

Mmm, I enjoy Dickens, I need to read more of his works. I have heard a lot of good things about Dostoyevsky, there are just so many books and so little time! I am more partial towards fantasy though. But I love just anything that makes me go "huh." :)
