  • Hello Morgain, I'm catching up on all my Rep. appreciation thank you's and any PM's. Sorry it took so long, but I have been so busy. I loved what you said in the reps you gave me, you're very comforting and kind!! *hugs*
Oh my, thank you so much. We've had a series of accidentally favoring each other's writings in these contests /and not only/. I particularly admire your way of presenting a story or emotion. Besides, I had a hunch that you had in mind my haiku, when you posted your comment earlier, during the contest. Somehow I knew. I felt. :)
Thanks for the rep, and a more proper thanks for this wonderfull avatar. It was the avatar that gave me the idea so, by extension your the one who gave me the idea for the undertitle.
just wanted to let you know i appreciate your making my avatar. grace and peace to you.
Hey, the avatar is gorgeous. But it seems the file size is large, so it's not showing. Is there another way to get the file? Thx.
well it was I believe Barabbas whom escaped punishment and the Barnabas I'm refering to was not a direct disciple of Christ to my knowledge. But this is the Barnabas I'm talking about.

    Acts 9:19

Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus. 20At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God. 21All those who heard him were astonished and asked, "Isn't he the man who raised havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on this name? And hasn't he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?" 22Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Christ.

23After many days had gone by, the Jews conspired to kill him, 24but Saul learned of their plan. Day and night they kept close watch on the city gates in order to kill him. 25But his followers took him by night and lowered him in a basket through an opening in the wall.
26When he came to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple. 27But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus.

the name Barnabas means brother of encouragement and the few times he is mentioned in Acts he if found defnding those who no one else will. First Paul and later John Mark, both can offer no defense for what they've done yet Barnabas defends them anyway.
Thx for getting back to me. Yeah, what you have in mind sounds good. I guess pics with a hat, or themes related to sensitivity, something related to being in the shadows but out in the open - 50s woman with a sense of uncertainty . . .

    Tell me if this helps.
Don't mind me in my stupidity, I don't know what gotten into me, if it were any other day I probably would have realized what you wanted to say from the start, so sorry that you had to explain further.

I probably won't make an avatar out of that picture but I'm going to post it in the member pictures thread along some other ones, just need to find them all.
Thanks, Morgain! Please make sure you take care of yourself in all this demand for your gifts.
