I really enjoyed Party of One. Some of it was kinda dogmatic us vs them type stuff, but sometimes it was really enlightening and validating. Also, the author pulled up a lot of cultural and specific instances of someone being a recluse or portraying a loner different from the typical negative connotation we see today.
I have always felt a bit greedy and like a bad person for rarely wanting to meet with family or friends, so I would be more of a neurotic in that sense. I have become much more comfortable not meeting those expectations though as I deal with my social anxiety.
