Random Thoughts Thread (Which Is Not All That Random For INFJs)

Sometime in my late 20's I got tired of sorting socks by color, black and brown belts to match alike shoes and pants. My solution: Black and grey tones are my preference. So, all dress socks are black, same brand (no sorting), black shoes, belts, wallet, suits, jackets. Grey sport socks all the same brand. Most shirts, ties, jeans, etc. work with black and grey tones. Oila! Totally simplified wardrobe while still being fashionable. Probably works for guys better than gals though.

My partner sticks with black, dark grey, and dark blue.

With her black cape, she’s so close to being de facto goth.

I was rewatching an episode of stranger things because I realized I didn't fully pay attention to it the first time i watched it, and winona was on the screen. Winona got me thinking about johnny depp, which got me thinking about the amber vs. johnny stuff

And how silly it is to take one side or the other, when they were clearly both hurting each other. As is often the case in relationships. Both guilty, both the victim

Toxicity from all of those involved, but nobody wanting to hold themselves accountable. Although, money of course was big there. I'm sure Mr. Depp would've had an easier time admitting wrongdoing if that didn't also mean having to pass along a big chunk of his $$$ to his ex. It blew up like it did and got on our screens because of all that money on the line for both of them

Oh, damn. Guess I didn't pay attention to the episode again

if i had to pick though, i would pick johnny over amber, easily

In the general sense, yes, true enough. In the legal sense, as in details of the case, no, Johnny is the victim, and Amber the aggressor cardinale.

But it would be hard to know that given the spin (polite) it was/is given.

It’s as spun as, e.g., Kyle Rittenhouse. 🤪

My skepticism goes back to money - how many times has Trump gotten away with things when he is almost certainly guilty, because of his money? Between Johnny and Amber, one of those two has far more resources at their disposal. Compare their net worth. I think if someone liked Johnny less, maybe they would be more inclined to question his innocence

Just as someone who hates Trump is highly inclined to question his innocence. And would maybe give a loved one the benefit of the doubt, because they are fond of them

I like Johnny, but I question anyway, because that's just what I do

(regardless, he still has my vote)

There's something... related to edward scissorhands I would like to share, but I think it might be too much for the forum, and if even I think something is too much, it probably is

Edit: it's a mostly clean edit of it though! Somewhat clean. It might be inherently unclean

Understood, and I am a skeptic extraordinaire. That said, the court transcripts are publicly available, and you can freely read and see for yourself.

I might guess he’s chosen behaviors which would be well outside the rule of law, but I never question his innocence, as there is little to question—very little went to trial, and even less resulted in a conviction or verdict of guilt.

That's one of the things you can do with money, hide evidence, get rid of it. Anytime money like that is involved, I think it's good to have some degree of skepticism

Money is a very powerful thing and can sway even those who normally hold firm to their ideals

Indeed, but one thing money can’t do is make what Amber voluntarily shared go away, nor would those in control of money want it to.

As a disclaimer, I'm just being a devil's advocate here and I agree with you on all of your points  johnny was a huge part of my childhood and was definitely one of my crushes (tell no one), so I am one of those who might be biased towards him, not against him

My random thought: I am never going to get through this episode
