.... Sucks for them, NOT OUR PROBLEM. Truly this asylum stuff is getting out of control. I would say I can't believe that trump would betray the American people like this but it's right here. These people need to go back to their country and figure out how to fix it instead of coming here and mucking ours up. If you want to be a citizen go through the legal process. So unfair to all of the legal immigrants who did it the right way. This asylum stuff is just a way of getting people in our country easy who didn't do what they needed to do to be here. Imagine how the people who did it the right way feel. Doesn't seem to matter who you elect they are all so eager to let people in with cheats and short cuts. I wonder how many thousands of people trump will let in this way! Insane

SA was worse than China until covid so I don't mind this at all, really for many who aren't made of money SA is a terrible country though not the absolute worst at least Trump/Elon made for an opportunity for some to escape. Hell if a few billion was thrown at Australia for a few towns/cities for these people to move to would be well spent. They'll be alright in the US so long they can find reasonable housing and employment.

I bet you want to let all the refugees in! Hypocrite. People like you are voting to let all these refugees in who reduce our jobs and just end up on benefits. If these South African people want in, they can pay the 3 million dollars to get gold citizenship like trump said! Otherwise they can stay in their crap country!! I don't care about south Africans and if you prioritize them over Americans I think you are an anti patriot.

So far it looks like he's mostly deporting non citizens vs citizens if that changes I'll be concerned but statistically most have been non citizens so I'm glad for that. I'm worried that his taking in of refugees will cancel it out though. Why is he even bothering deporting people if he is just going to let more illegal refugees in. Trump is betraying his voters

Big ass oof lol, I voted for Trump despite the shortcomings. SA doesn't have a future beyond being a third world shit hole and it deserves to sink if the current government is to remain in place.
 
I love people. People are beautiful. I say let them in! A greater population does increase the demand for goods and services and can increase economic activity and help spawn job growth. People gonna people. Plus, we need people that can fill the job market because as it is there are way too many people retiring in professions where there is maybe a 50% replacement rate at best. All these old fogies gonna need stuff too and not meeting the demand could cause recessions.
 
And bigger picture, we are below the replacement rate, like many other countries. Immigration is the way, unless you want to do forced birthing (not at all beyond possible).

That said, I also appreciate @slant saying take care of Americans first.

Of course, because this is America, it will never happen. Decades of propaganda and hidden class warfare will make sure of that.

Not very many out there can think far ahead enough to consider demographics and how society ages out never mind that towards late century there is likely to be far fewer people around than now. Those who cried overpopulation will be proven to be some of the biggest fools of all as there will not be enough people to maintain the current economy never mind grow it. The old lizards will soon learn that paying people off to have kids while working long hours isn't going to work. They can try forcing people to have kids but that isn't going to work either.

"Kill the farmers; kill the boers" is just a slogan. So if someone had a slogan of "kill the blacks" it is important to remember that the same news agencies would be totally passive about that and treat the latter the same as the former.
 
In regards to the point that people made here about needing immigrants: re read the title of this thread and the content. Never did I say I was against immigrants. Specifically I am against these asylum immigrants that typically BYPASS the requirements of citizenship we require for everyone else that gets legal citizenship.

It would be a HUGE mistake to let a bunch of people in without education or means for work in this country. There is a shortage of STEM majors in the United States of America, anybody with STEM degrees and highly specialized and in demand educations should be allowed in. This is not what asylum immigrants are about. They do not go through the same process and therefore it is a huge threat to our economy to be doing this but I guess y'all just love letting people in your the sake of it and not caring about their qualifications or how hard it is for others to get citizenship the right way.

It is truly sad that in technologically advanced countries this kind of thing can be done by machines and because we are so deficit in STEM we are trying to export it to low paid immigrants who overall actually cost more money than if we used technology to automate it...
