Understanding the universe in which I dwell, my own mind, and my place and power in the cosmic tapestry. I deeply enjoy philosophy as well: the exploration and application of ideas is eternally fascinating.

I used to be more defined in what I listened to. Now I can appreciate mostly any genre, with some exceptions.

I think I'm a pretty creative problem solver, at least in programming. As for being artistic, I wouldn't know. I play piano and some guitar, and I like to draw, but I'm not particularly good in any of them.

I like every kind of music. What I seem to gravitate toward most is strong progressive lead bass. This would include Black Sabbath, Tool, Muse, and The Cure. I love just about anything live. I especially appreciate bands who cross genres and innovate like Queen, Styx, Therion, and Savatage/TSO.

My favorite sub-genres are progressive death and thrash (Nevermore, Arch Enemy), early speed and power metal (Helloween, Mercyful Fate, Rainbow, Judas Priest), 80s pop (Cyndi Lauper, Heart) classic popular jazz (Ella Fitzgerald, Dave Brubeck), gothic new wave and early post-punk electronic (Joy Division, Gary Numan), and modern alternative and indie (Elliot Smith, Arcade Fire). The country I like is the stuff that came in between the first Hank Williams and the second one (Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynne). I love virtually anything Dave Grohl or Jack White touch.

I get along with most mammals pretty well but even more with the non-human ones. When someone who has "pets" has me over, I can usually be found in the floor at eye level with the cats, dogs, or anything else. They typically seem to like me better than they like their "owners."

Tested infj and 6w5, for what that is worth. Mainly learned there are so many different types of folk out there and reasons for their(there) being so.

Colors depend on what I'm doing and possibly my mood. I'll take ANY color in a dream, but like neon blues and reds in the darkness. When I'm tired and can't sleep, give me darkness or black. When I'm running the ocean in the spring for the gulfstream, I like a color change....any good color change. Love the color of sargassum weed in contrast with the blue water. Love the flashing of a blue marlin when he gets excited, which is awesome blues. Love the greens and blues on mahi mahi. Love the color red and such on lipstick. Like camo clothing, but there are too many colors to mention all my favorite kinds. Love the blue/green iridescence of the speculum of mottled ducks, and their own beautiful brown colors on their tertial feathers. Love the colors on a wood duck. Think I like every color on the spectrum if presented in the right way.


I like being in the swamp, the woods, and the rivers in my spare time. Like to shoot. Like taking pictures. Love waterfowling. Like the computer for its many gifts. Love to see beautiful, to me, women smile. Like collecting things. Like pecking on the piano and listening to music. Like to sleep when I can, too.

I like them both but generally prefer cats since I find dogs somewhat overwhelming sometimes.

6. Have you ever participated in sports? If so, which?
Hardly, but I was on the swim team in middle school and soccer when I was VERY young.

7. Are you creative or artistic? If so, in what way(s)?
I used to write a lot when I was young (now I can never figure out anything to write about), very interested in fantasy. I've always been into drawing and painting which I consider myself quite good at. I got into ceramics a little bit too.

8. In general, what are you most interested in?
I'm very interested in the sciences, anything regarding psychology or space/the universe. I've always been interested in languages, I took spanish for a couple years because I had to, then took a year of french, then german. I had some dutch buddies online who taught me some very basic phrases. Sometimes I feel like when I'm listening to music, I cant deal with the connections that I have to the songs or the lyrics. In those instances I find myself listening to a lot of other language music, especially french.

9. Physically and mentally, what are you most attracted to in a potential partner?
Mentally, I'm attracted to people who are extroverted because they can bring me out the talkative part of me, but since I don't really party in my spare time and do super social things, i seem to prefer the company of introverts. I guess as long as they can hold a conversation and have some intelligence or an open mind, it doesnt really matter. Assertiveness is important because I also lack this quality haha. I especially appreciate people who ask about me (even a "How was your day?") Im very unattracted to selfishness and cynicism. I want someone who is independent and responsible enough to take care of themselves, I'm sick of taking care of someone who I need to be able to depend on.
Physically, for guys, I usually like a bigger build whether theyre athletic or a little husky. I like pretty girls, but they have to have some sort of masculinity/assertiveness. I seem to be attracted to people with darker features (like dark hair and tan/olive colored skin)
