I know you care about scientific accuracy and truth just as much as I do, so just to get back to Virophages:
Virophages are viruses they have a parasitic relationship with larger viruses that infect the same host; virophages impair the reproduction of the other, larger, viruses and thereby actually increase the fitness of the host. The name virophage literally means 'virus eater' (from the Greek phagein, 'to eat').
(I really don't care much about how this analogy holds up with politics, I just care about the science.)
(Also, I liked your response. You really do have a sense of humor. I wish it wasn't so hidden from view, as it is one of your better qualities.)
