Long-term SO, and several long-term close friends are INTJs.
We're kindred spirits, so to speak. We share Ni/Se, which makes it more likely that we will understand each other, as long as we don't disagree on core values and philosophies. We are different (Te/Fe) in complementary ways. At times, we can seem like the same type. At other times, the differences are glaring, which can be entertaining or interesting. They strike a balance between similarity and individuality.

I don’t like to generalize an entire “type,” but I’ve had largely positive interactions with INTJs. I find that we vibe well becuase of the shared Ni.
One of my oldest friends (since kindergarten) is an INTJ female. I think when we were kids she could be a bit cold, and sometimes cruel with me, making me cry a lot. But I think we were both just immature and undeveloped. I was a sensitive little shit. Lolol
She has since grown into an extremely kind person and a wonderful mother.

OH interesting... generally speaking for me.. i jive with most females, i do have two INTJ female friends and we get along but id said i get along better with any stereotypical female MBTI types versus males, who I generally will clash with more often.

My experience with online INTJs has mostly been neutral to negative. We somehow never seem to 'connect'?However, that was many years ago, on one particular INTJ forum, with many young and/or mistyped people I'm sure.
I've never met an INTJ in real life as far as I know.

Healthy INFJs have too much integrity to do that. (From what I can see.)

I have, someone from my friend group in uni was INTJ. Unfortunately I didn't get to know her as an INTJ, but I liked her. She wasn't cold or calculating or always had to be right. Great sense of humour too.
I can't tell if we ever connected on any deep level, though. I didn't have a conscious sense of this until I got to working with cognitive functions and unburied some repressed senses.

Looking back, 'connecting' has been a really rare thing. I used to doubt that I'd ever actually connected with anyone, and put that down to not having met the right people.
I'm speaking for myself, but maybe something about INTJs in general can be extrapolated from it.
I think maybe the issue is that INTJs have this 'guard up' all the time, even if they don't realise it; even if they think they're naturally open people. They will still be overly courteous/aloof (formal, basically), however their armour manifests, for real connection to take place.
The problem is that they just need to learn to embrace their whole being, and then cerebral 'connection' is really easy once they're comfortable.
Emotional connection is a different matter... I think INTJs have this intense, all-or-nothing quality, and expressing that is a huge risk since its not generally acceptable to break down into snot-dribbling tears in the work cafeteria just to tell someone they're cool.
If an INTJ likes you, you probably have no idea how much they do. They honour you, they respect you; you will have some quality that they deem highly admirable - if you think they 'like you', that probably means they've put you in the pantheon of the greatest human beings who ever lived.

Okay, let's assume for the sake of argument that you actually are an INTJ. You are nothing like the INTJs I met 10 years ago on that particular forum. You're mature and open to hearing other people's opinions and perspectives. (You may reject them after scrutiny, but not outright.)
We're friendly enough with each other Host. I respect your outstanding academic and debating skills.
But we don't really know each other on a personal level all that well.

Yeah, I've heard about that forum - if it's the same one. It's one of the reasons why I just didn't want to be associated with that label. They didn't seem 'like me', so I rejected it.
Also, about the 'connecting' thing, I have some additional thoughts:
I think this whole thing with INTJ 'black and white' thinking is probably true. When it comes to people, I find ambivalence really difficult to handle, actually. I can't ever seem to say, 'he's OK I guess'.
Individuals are either 'Good' or 'Not', and I think it depends upon the INTJ as to which category is more often used.
If you're sorted into 'Good', then the intensity of regard can put the INTJ into a vulnerable position when confronted with people who deal with ambivalent attitudes towards people. You're going to be wandering around thinking everyone is super fucking great and worthy, while they may think you're just 'meh'. This may be why some INTJs become misanthropic - it's a defense mechanism against this imbalance of regard. They're protecting themselves against their own soft hearts.
