past lives

Isn't it amazing how people are always someone famous in their past lives...

Noone was a dolphin, or a cockroach, or a serf...

Hey, I did say I could have been a golden retriever in a past life. Not that I have any way of knowing, of course.

Well, I don't know, but I am obsessed with submarines. I live by the sea and cruise ships come in a lot. They scare the crap out of me! Whenever I see a boat out of water I have to look away. I remember when I first saw Das Boot, on television. I was about 8. I remember being completely terrified, but kept my eyes glued to the screen. It remains my favourite movie to this day. Maybe I was a german on a u-boat during WWII. I also think I might have been a bee...

In my past life I had no name. I was a samurai
In another one I was a thief ... again with no name
I was a Wolf

I was possibly Vlad & Alexander the Great :P (Smirks)

I don't even know. I'm just guessing, but its highly possible. I might also have been Jesus.

Haha.

If there was such a thing as past lives, I would think that even shadows of traits would show up in the person, not just wishful thinking. :P

Lol! TDHT & Shai have the right idea: No one's a goat herder or on elephant clean up crew or a street bum. Everyone's something glorious in his or her past life, which is one reason why I don't believe in it. If we had past lives, I really don't think they were all sunshine and roses and rainbows and happyfuntimes.

I do think, though, that we can hear/experience things that affected us as a fetus in the womb. Maybe we can interpret what's said around us in our fetus state, and those conversations influence our cognitive development once we emerge from the womb state.

That's actually been proven. Furthermore, environment has a huge impact on not only our cognitive development, but also on our genetics; which genes are put forward and which are subdued can depend on the emotional state of the mother and transmit her reactions from her environment. Pretty powerful stuff.

Awesome, awesome stuff indeed! I wonder how many mothers read to their children during development? Just another possible reasoning for past lives, if a fetus heard a story and developed it as part of his/her past life experience.

You wouldn't happen to have a link to that information, would you?

It was actually a recorded lecture from the University of Pennsylvannia that my brother and sister-in-law watched when my SiL was pregnant with their first child. I'd have to find out the name of the professor, and get back to you on that.

No rushes, no worries - :D

I wonder if anyone has actually tested babies before the age of 3 to see if they recognized something they heard in the mother's womb.

As I said; I don't even know. Nor do I even care but ...:

:) I have shadows of all three. Vlad cold look, & Cruel manner. Alexanders leadership skills, and Jesus prankster & manipulation ability.

Alexander & Jesus are ENTPs While Vlad is INTJ.

I leave you with this funny picture

I never suggested otherwise, Ookie ;)

Yes.

But only if you can prove that past lives exist.

I've had plenty of... strange experiences in my life that makes me believe in a lot of weird things. Past lives is one of them... but I don't think the average person can pinpoint who they were. Such a task, I believe, needs spiritual wisdom to accomplish, not a 10 dollar psychic in the subway.

Past Live Evidence...

I contacted a past life regression hypnosis specialist and asked for their rates.

For regular deep hypnosis where you can make a list of questions you would like to ask your soul and your subconscious mind or any other events you would like to recall while you were young under deep hypnosis was $300.

Depending on how you react to hypnosis, I was told that if you would like to journey to your past life; as in getting in touch with your soul and ask the soul various questions was $500.

They told me that I can make a list questions, however many to ask during the session and also all session are audiotaped so you can hear everything once you out of hypnosis. The regular deep hypnosis lasts three hours and past life regression lasts 5 hours I was told.

Interesting stuff
