Do you eat meat?
Yes, but not necessarily every day.
What do you think/feel about eating meat?
It's fine.
What animals do you eat?
Mostly chicken, occasionally beef, pork very rarely, fish on occasion.
Do you or would you consider killing animals yourself to eat?
Absolutely. I've never done it before, but I definitely would if I were in that situation. My parents have neighbors who own chickens-- they get more eggs than they could possibly ever eat in a week, and eventually they'll get meat as well-- and all they have to do is keep and feed them, so it's actually a huge money-saver and all around more practical way of getting food. I'd definitely like to do something like that when I move. I wouldn't keep pigs or cows, just chickens-- you don't really need a lot of variety with meat... and chicken is my favorite. It would be nice to have a greenhouse as well, so I wouldn't have to go to the supermarket as much.
I would never get upset about it because I wouldn't be killing them when they're young and they'd have a good life first. In terms of survival, farm animals have actually benefited tremendously because of their relationships with humans... I don't approve of a lot of the nastiness that goes on in the big operations but if I had my own I wouldn't feel bad about killing them.
Do you buy organic meat or ethcial meat?
No... but I will be nice to my chickens if I get some one day.
