The meaning is archetypal, and you can "count" on archetypes expressing themselves in particular ways which I've seen them do hundreds of times so I've started to believe they really exist. Though that is about the only thing which has this regularity, everything else is entropy-driven.

Btw that's how the tarot works - you pick the cards you are meant to pick because the quality of the moment makes you pick certain ones and not others :D

I have a very dear friend (an NT type) who called astro "vague generalizations" although when I looked at the composite chart it confirmed everything using that system's "logic." So yep... it works, whether we believe in it or not.

Edit: a good way to test it, is to check transits and see if it matches what is happening to you - if it does you have some reason to consider it more seriously.

So a number reoccurring would be classed as a perpetual synchronistic experience although I don't really know what these mean other than they can be some gateway to paying attention to something significant. Or they can just as well mean we are fascinated by said number and its reappearance resonates with us. Take your pick.

0:45, and his brothers had the same names as her brothers and so on and so forth, it isn't that a bunch of coincidences piled up, no GOD LED HER TO HIM

so that they could live happily ever-

restraining order, jail time

What is interesting here is why she thought this is fated or significant in the first place - the actual guy and the horrible experience are not as relevant. So sort of a psychological problem going on.

Edit: archetypes are about the organizational pattern driving us toward certain experiences when we find "hooks" resembling them in the outside world and are drawn toward them. This same system finds use in many aspects of life, from career and vocation to relationships to apparently "free will" decisions we make.

I don't think that's a good way to test, sorry. That's simply not how falsification works. I will not be convinced by confirmation bias and anecdotal evidence.

I think in that case it might be easier to just say you can't ever "believe" in astrology and ignore it, which is a fine way to live life (many people do and they live good lives so nothing wrong with that route.)

I believe in astrology, I believe it is a thing that people talk about. Unless you meant "believe" as in, derive meaning from extremely vague predictions

there are two types of people with regard to this kind of thinking- when for a week straight you see Donald Trump's face in your toast

Person 1 thinks "God and/or the cosmic energies above are telling me to MAGA!"

Person 2 thinks "The metal in my toaster is warped producing a consistent pattern that happens to resemble the president, time to buy a new toaster"

Buy a new toaster, and get on with your life.

I am Person 1 and Person 2, if this makes any sense.

Oh no. I don't ever say I can't believe in anything. My starting stance on anything is neutral non-belief, in the sense that I take no a priori position at all. If you provide me with solid evidence and/or reasoning, I can definitely be swayed. Unfortunately, I haven't seen that evidence yet.
It is of utmost importance to me that I have as few falsities in my head as possible.

An interesting point you raise here, however, is why it's there at all - why do people believe in it something which is apparently a bunch of confirmation bias nonsense? Why are some other things which don't make sense there and have their followers? Why do we have cults and such things? And so on.

Hmm... @Lady Jolanda, I might be able to do that but would need you to follow some instructions (to make it as safe/easy as possible.) But I'll reiterate there is no desire to "convince" anyone here, it is more to satisfy your curiosity - however you take it is fine.

lol, this isn't the astrology thread, which I was asked to leave and did so immediately (I mean I might have made one last snarky comment on my way out but I left)
You're peddling astrology in the NTs thread, which is like extolling on the great character of Leon Trotsky at Stalin's dinner table

You're posting in the wrong neighborhood, son :joycat::joycat::tongueclosed::tongueclosed::tongueclosed:
