Religion is my "Thang"

Oh, please share! I collect stories like this!
You will find it quite unlike the Song of Songs, yet even so the spiritual journey is the same. Of course there is no personal god of love in Buddhism so the language is different .... or is it really!

It's delightful to see a similar journey in this to that of The Ascent of Mount Carmel and the Dark Night of the Soul.

This links you to the pictures and the explanations of them.

I set them to music a while back and here's a link:

nteresting that you brought up Richard Rohr. Are you connected at all with his Center for Action and Contemplation? He is getting reading to retire, and it very much looks in the works for Brian McLaren (author of Faith After Doubt) to succeed him. I had a short correspondence with Brian McLaren, and I think he is an amazing man and will do an amazing job of continuing Richard Rohr's legacy.
No, I know and admire his work but I haven't had anything to do with his Center. I like his work on the Enneagram as well - his You Tube videos are fascinating and give a refreshingly alternative perspective on it.

And this too maybe?
