This isnt a Trump thread but I want to make it clear I am pretty embarrassed that he is apparently being accepted with open arms and winning the primaries. Make no mistake though socialism is a disease of the uninformed idealist. It needs to be snuffed out and eradicated at any expense. Even if that expense is a red faced blowhard. Trumps domance is powered by the anger people have harbored for how our country has been run the past eight years. Trump is kind of the physical representation of a middle finger to everyone who has supported Obama and his policies. I understand that anger but its no way to run a country. Our choosing a President has become a sideshow freak fest.

Hillary isn't going to jail. But I really do hope that Sanders wins. Either one can take that loser.

If Trump is the nominee he will be President. My goal is to make sure socialism is stopped at the infection site and can't spread. I will never consider another democratic for public office ever again as a result. Even so tbe country still loses with Trump as a President. Why cant we have someone who wants to raise the country up and make it great again? Why are we reduced to a Jerry Springer reality show slugfest? This is the best we can do?

I dont see it getting better. I dont see it turning around. The worst of humanity is being reflected in our political landscape.

I cant say that I agree with your account of my perception regarding democratic / liberal policy and what I believe the country's original intended direction was intended to be. I do recognize that I have a singular perception and that its bias. However I also believe it to be an informed bias.
Having said that, the question was really more about Clinton and the information that is currently known in regard to how she treated classified information. Regardless of which party lines you support, that should be a concern to all Americans. So my question still is, how is it that you are ok with overlooking national security in favor of supporting her more than not?

I like Sanders for his record of always fighting for the working/middle class, and trying to fight injustices against humanity.
Everyone can like whomever they want even if that candidate is insane, pudgy, old, ignorant (in someone’s opinion), a wackadoodle, bigot, educated or not, etc.
Just take a really good honest look at their records and Sanders is the most consistent over the past 20 years.
Hell, a few years ago Trump was a Democrat…and Hillary…please…she’s not going to jail anymore than anyone else in that position of power…but it doesn’t mean we have to elect her to continue on the pussyfooting around Wall St. that has destroyed this nation.
Cruz…well…good luck with the wacky religious shit he and family say.

Reagan destroyed this nation with his tax cuts…destroyed this nation with union busting by not supporting the air traffic controller strike…destroyed the separation of investment houses and banks…I digress…I could go on.

And electing someone who is a democratic socialist will not make our country any less democratic.
Nor does it make our country socialist.
We have some already existing socialist or “social” programs but we are just about the furthest from true socialism and always will be, because that isn’t what the people want.

The information that has been released in my opinion and in the opinion of people who are and have been involved with the FBI is that her actions are easily classified as espionage. Given how the law has been written in relation to espionage, jail time is mandatory. Not only that but her ability to ever hold public office again would be terminated permanently.

Its not only her of course that would be held accountable because of this.

Thats an interesting estimation of yourself. I've made no secret here that I dont like socialism and feel that the democratic party is absolutely chest deep in it at this point. It so happens we are in the middle of primaries and given that I am interested in politics for many reasons its only reasonable that I would feel like discussing various candidates at various times concerning various subjects.

Did I feel in the back of my mind as if some people here would dislike my questions to include you? Absolutely. Is that the reason I choose to post here or make comments regarding the candidates? Not at all.

So this thread isnt about Hillary but I suppose its not possible to discuss politics and not have some intermingling. I will say this. I believe its possible Hillary may stay out of jail. Not because she is not guilty but because she is given a pass. If this does happen though EVERYONE should be worried about it. It will set a dangerous bar for all future high ranking government officials and what they can ultimately get away with regardless of the party lines they hold. Today Democrats, tomorrow Republicans.

What i'm trying to understand, while cutting through personal opinion and dogma, is this: the State Department was aware that she had a personal account, yes? If they were aware (and thus 'approved?') of such, how could there be grounds for her to be arrested? It'd be one thing if the State Department didn't know, but it seems they did. It seems i'm missing some crucial information here. Anyone care to fill me in?

My thoughts are that the nations laws are supposed to be all encompassing and beyond any department or any one person. Its not for the State Department to decide laws but they are supposed to follow them. Its entirely possible for people to not know or deliberately choose not to follow them or, think that no one will notice. Also lets say I am a government employee and my boss tells me to do something that I know or suspect is not legal or that I honestly do not know is illegal. It doesn't matter. I cant expect to have defend-able defense in saying, "I was told to do it by a superior." You are expected to know whats allowed and whats not especially in terms of classified information.
