I think The World At Large is a perfect example My favorite lyric being of course the last two lines.. "my thoughts were so loud I couldn't hear my mouth"

Ice-age heat wave, can't complain.
If the world's at large, why should I remain?
Walked away to another plan.
Gonna find another place, maybe one I can stand.
I move on to another day,
to a whole new town with a whole new way.
Went to the porch to have a thought.
Got to the door and again, I couldn't stop.
You don't know where and you don't know when.
But you still got your words and you got your friends.
Walk along to another day.
Work a little harder, work another way.

Well uh-uh baby I ain't got no plan.
We'll float on maybe would you understand?
Gonna float on maybe would you understand?
Well float on maybe would you understand?

The days get shorter and the nights get cold.
I like the autumn but this place is getting old.
I pack up my belongings and I head for the coast.
It might not be a lot but I feel like I'm making the most.
The days get longer and the nights smell green.
I guess it's not surprising but it's spring and I should leave.

I like songs about drifters - books about the same.
They both seem to make me feel a little less insane.
Walked on off to another spot.
I still haven't gotten anywhere that I want.
Did I want love? Did I need to know?
Why does it always feel like I'm caught in an undertow?

The moths beat themselves to death against the lights.
Adding their breeze to the summer nights.
Outside, water like air was great.
I didn't know what I had that day.
Walk a little farther to another plan.
You said that you did, but you didn't understand.

I know that starting over is not what life's about.
But my thoughts were so loud I couldn't hear my mouth.
My thoughts were so loud I couldn't hear my mouth.
My thoughts were so loud.

The Plain White T's - 1,2,3,4. Sounds corny I know but It just seems INFJ appropriate.

Two songs in this list hit me the hardest:

Ilya - "Blatchford"

"I ask myself how do I look and does it matter"

I felt resonance with my Fe discomfort with where I (and others) place in the social structure and then an Ni consideration deconstructing the framework and questioning it's value.

and

Tool - "Lateralus"

So much resonance I was emotionally overwhelmed. PsilocinProject, I observed in your comments what may be some misunderstandings regarding typology.

1. INFJ's are dominant Ni. Which means intuitive perceiving as the dominant experience.

2. INTP's and INFP's are dominant Fi. Which means feeling or thinking judgment as the dominant experience.

3. The INFJ tertiary function is Ti, or introverted thinking. It is very common for an INFJ to draw on logical thinking styles to augment their functioning in the world, but not being the dominant or auxillary cognitive style, it is often a tactic that feels a little at war with the truer nature.

So, the lyrics "Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition" to me seem a poetic expression of an INFJ's tertiary temptation and it's consequences as described here:

http://greenlightwiki.com/lenore-exegesis/Tertiary_Temptation

4. An INFJ's inferior function is Se, which is a sensing perception and is very much about embracing the moment and whatever may come. This is not something that generally comes very easily to an infj, but it is something that a pull is felt toward as an infj matures and reaches toward development.

I have further thoughts, but I have to run.

You'll love this. It's my favorite INFJ song by far.

evanescence isn't INFJ...I think...but her song, My Immortal, is rather nice. It might just be perfectly telling my personal experience, though....

We always carry other's burdens, so this song seemed appropriate.

Odd choice, perhaps, but I see something in the humanitarian ideals the lyrics speak to valuing.

Crash Test Dummies - "Superman's Song"

"Superman's Song"

Tarzan wasn't a ladies' man
He'd just come along and scoop 'em up under his arm
Like that, quick as a cat in the jungle
But Clark Kent, now there was a real gent
He would not be caught sittin' around in no
Junglescape, dumb as an ape doing nothing

[Chorus:]
Superman never made any money
For saving the world from Solomon Grundy
And sometimes I despair the world will never see
Another man like him

Hey Bob, Supe had a straight job
Even though he could have smashed through any bank
In the United States, he had the strength, but he would not
Folks said his family were all dead
Their planet crumbled but Superman, he forced himself
To carry on, forget Krypton, and keep going

Tarzan was king of the jungle and Lord over all the apes
But he could hardly string together four words: "I Tarzan, You Jane."

Sometimes when Supe was stopping crimes
I'll bet that he was tempted to just quit and turn his back
On man, join Tarzan in the forest
But he stayed in the city, and kept on changing clothes
In dirty old phonebooths till his work was through
And nothing to do but go on home

DC Talk's album Jesus Freak - almost every single song on it is INFJ! Very introspective, trying to fix the world, looking intensely at the people around us...
