I've always been fascinated by the power that music has to elicit an emotion. Energizing, happy, make you want to dance like Snoopy songs, we've all most likely felt that at some point. I get that aspect of music, its other ones, the songs that make tears squirt out of your head like an elephant sneeze that fascinate me.
I'll give you an example. I remember seeing this on TV when it was first broadcast years ago, and promptly burst into tears. Still do. I don't speak the Ojibwe language, but something heartbreaking is being communicated, though it is a love song set to the tune of Turkey in the Straw. It causes me lachrymal leakage.
What music or songs do that for you?
