Songs that Jerk the Tears right out of you

This song kills me every time. It evokes such emotion out of me.

*Sniffs* Claridon can you come and bring me a kleenex?

of course...puffs plus.

See, I am happy with this response...not that people are crying for the sake of crying, but that you are connecting with a deeper part of yourselves. Being an INFJ is a wonderful and terrifying experience...l don't want to shut out the parts of me that are good. Tears can be healing.

Will this be enough for the Forum?

Music has a very powerful effect on me. I can at times physically feel the music and notes that I hear and it can become very overwhelming mentally, physically, and sometimes even emotionally. It's very rare, and very hard for me to cry though. Despite the fact that music can make me feel emotional, the "barrier" to which I must feel before I will cry is extremely high. Music in the past has acted as a catalyst in the right situations to get emotions out of me, and get me to cry (in the right setting), when it was very badly needed.

These two in particular come to mind, as they have caused me to cry when I was in a very high level of pain. It acted as a conduit to help express myself:

port-royal - Putin Vs. Valery
Genre: Ambient/IDM

Beach House - Norway
Genre: Dreampop/Ambient

There are a few other songs that have gotten me to before, but I can not remember them at the moment.

beautifully put. I remember when I first moved to Maui and I was riding with a friend of mine...I was upset and stressed from the move, and he had on Moby's Play, when it first came out, and I started to cry. We were almost home, but he drove around the block a few times. We didn't talk. Finally, when he pulled in the driveway when the album ended and turned off the car, he said, "I think you needed that." I did.

I heart Maui, it makes me cry too, just thinking about it. So if I heard Moby in Maui I would double cry.

@oddgirl Fix You is ohh :(

I'm going to listen to like ac/dc or the dixie chicks now to shake this.

Ohh someone else said an Iron and Wine song..
Their song Jezebel always makes me all feely.

Songs without lyrics usually get me going. This one in particular physically *hurts* when I hear it (this was what they played a few days after 9-11 as well, although I originally heard this piece during the movie "Platoon"):

I know what you mean, and an amazing song you shared.

This one always had a similar effect on me.

You got me bawling here. This was "our song". I used to do Civil War reenactment dances with my late fiance, who was my love from the time I was 12 years old. This was always the last dance, the waltz, our special time where we were alone together, because we weren't really allowed to be alone much at all.

He died the night of our wedding rehearsal in a car accident that was some stupid drunk's fault.

I have the piano music for this, and every anniversary of our wedding rehearsal, I play it.

Love Mad World, and Single Malt (Whiskey) I love that Jeff Buckley version of Hallelujah
