I agree that the heart primarily revolves around the emotions — for me, I also see it acting as barometer in our interactions with ourselves and others (ie so it is essentially relationship based).

If you are asking if I believe in life after death — then I would say there was a time when I honesty wasn’t sure. Now, I absolutely do (not in reincarnation). If you are asking whether the “mysterious” parts of the heart/soul/spirit of the person continues on - then yes I believe this is the case.
(Ecclesiastes 3:11) “He has PLANTED ETERNITY IN THE HUMAN HEART, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.”
