stealing images

All the avatars I have used are pictures from DA where you can clearly download the pictures in high resolution. I even post a comment, favourite their artwork and ask kindly if I can use it as a picture. ^_^

In some respects it is wrong, it's always why I ask permission nowadays.

@ultrauber; I love Calvin and have several books of Waterson's work. He makes special notice in one to say that he has maintained firm control over his creation and really takes ownership of his work seriously. I would say that he might not be pleased--not to make you feel bad or anything. Just something I read about him that he doesn't really license his stuff easily.
 
My avatars are free. I don't post other people's photos because I have a friend who makes his living by selling his digital photography on the internet. He's really upset about his images being stolen so out of respect for him, I don't do it to him or anyone else. Except for that reason, I don't really care.
