Stranger Things

Having close relationships with homosexuals in the 80s I found Will's fear well founded, I would also buy Mike's alternative ending as fairly believable (why else wouldn't the army have shot the chief?) and liked the last visual of the young ones at the table in the basement. But the last episode was an hour too long (the axe scene was perfect).

I thought it was a relatively creative ending
All the core characters went up in class
The season itself didn't offer anything new and felt like a lot of rehashed story beats
I thought the final battle was on par with anything else in the show
It wasn't a perfect season or ending and a lot of the magic was gone from the start
It would have been extremely boring, more noticeably repetitive
and lacking a sense of danger/stakes without Holly and Derek (awesome additions)

Some episodes really hit hard emotionally
I think only the first two episodes were lacking in some serious substance in this way

Season 4 is still the best season and the true end in my mind
