This is my hypotheses.
The neurotypical has no compulsions to act differently against themselves.
Meaning they have no inhibitory controls at all - if they want to do it they just do it.
This does not mean they do anything abnormal. What they want can be completely within the normality of society.
It is actually those people who feel pressured not to be rejected that are outside the confines of "normal" happen to be on the extreme end.
If you feel like what you want is not acceptable you either suppress it or do it anyway.
Normality is just those limits where the average of all peoples behaviors reside.
If a person for instance has oppositional defiant disorder or antisocial disorder it means they lie on the extreme end where they can hurt people.
Most people have emotions of wanting to get back at others but they do so emotionally, yelling or passive aggressiveness but no actual physical violence.
This releases tension, they also party and watch sports for the same reason. Tension relief.
Politics plays a role as well.
It is acceptable to be in a political party because you get to say things about people that would otherwise be unacceptable in personal life.
The neurotypical person does what they do because anything the keeps them balanced emotionally is acceptable in society and anything outside that is deemed abnormal.
The reason people push back on anything abnormal is because if the do not their equilibrium is upset. People need to keep their equilibrium at a fixed point.
People on the spectrum or anyone outside where people emotions happen to be at any given time are seen as an upset to the equilibrium.
Once a person gets back to their set point they can function, they have to expunge their emotional baggage with coping skills.
The middle is where people stay at because they cannot go any further beyond what their emotions allows them to go.
So cognitively they run on emotions not thinking too much because they have been conditioned to avoid emotional pain.
Trying hard hurts too much, people keep it in the middle.
This can be why addictions happen to most people.
It is a quick fix for people that cannot do anything about their problems.
Why not? smoking makes you feel good after work which was hard. And drinking too. It's a pain killer normal people need.
Emotions for neurotypicals and the way they socialize are the results of avoiding pain and making sure the nervous system never stresses out too much.
Being normal is the easiest way to emotionally regulate ones nervous system for those in the middle. That is why neurotypical behaviors of people exist.
