Which is the best foods for good health ?

I think on the topic of foods we all know and are able to find healthy ones. The question is why would people not do that?
 
I've spent several years now researching health and fitness, and trying many different diets and exercise regimes out, and ultimately science and my personal experience both agree that the diet advocated by Dr Esselstyn, Dr McDougal and numerous others is best. I'd like to point out that I have no moral or religious views about eating meat, so my decision is not influenced by that.
