You asked if I was a he or a she.

Biologically I am male.

Yet I do have features in my psychology that are considered female.

I once had this evaluation 8 years ago, not a clinical one but on several websites that analyse big data like IBM and FaceBook. It was Google's grammarly that told me I was enneagram 7 from thousands or typed sentences I made in 2024.

They were not as sophisticated then as they are now but at age 30 (in 2017) they told me I was most closely resembled to the profile of female INTJ age 40

I had no idea what to do with that so I just considered it. Maybe that is what a male INFP look like on the internet? A female INTJ ten years older.

That may be the reason I have Joy from Inside Out as my avatar. she may be INTJ? I do not know, there really is not standard way to tell.

But if joy is INTJ that explains allot - because the stereotype of female INTJ is the cold hearted dominating Ice Queen which is totally wrong.

The rarest type is most misunderstood.

Joy would be the actual representation and why most of MBTI is just people having misunderstanding of types on the internet.

It just really depends because I think understanding type is more an art than a science.

I felt close to how she sees things and is why I have her as my avatar.

That makes you an especially interesting person to me. Since you didn't mention any preferred pronouns, I'll do my very best to remember to address you as "he." It's really hard for me to switch gears on someone once I have a picture of them in my mind, so please be patient with me if I screw up. Unless of course, you ask for different. I aim to please.

I've never heard of a test that adjusted the results by factoring in age. That's fascinating. But you say you don't remember what the site was?

Long, long ago it was explained to me that INFJ's are the most rational of all the NF's, and that we can sometimes come across as INTJ's, so I've always kept my eyes peeled in case that ever came up. But so far I've always been INFJ and enneagram 4w5.

Oooooo thank you so much for sharing all this with me. I've always loved your avatar and felt like it really fit you!

For me, I chose Elsa because her ice power is a perfect metaphor for the Bipolar disorder that has plagued me my entire adult life. It's under control now, baruch Hashem, but in the past it has absolutely devastated my life, killing friendships and ruining careers. How hard I worked to protect my children from the damage I could do. Don't feel! Don't feel! Before Frozen came out, the metaphor I had for it in my head was a storm, like the kind of storm that will flood an entire town. You have no idea how strongly I relate to what she sings during "For the First Time in Forever"--it's is exactly how i feel about the terrible stigma, how I had to keep it all secret:

Don't let them in, don't let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don't feel
Put on a show
Make one wrong move.... and everyone will know!

So, I absolutely LOVE IT that your resonate with an animated character! It's another thing on my list of things we share in common. I think we must have been sisters in as past life :) Or maybe brothers? LOL Who the heck knows. :)

They took it down but it was by IBM called personality insights. (it was a test site some years ago)

They have been allot more secretive because of how it can be used for political gains and advertizements.

When you have information on people this can be used for good and bad, many companies can do this not just IBM but is was a hot topic in the media some time ago they do not wish to tell people about. Now they only do so for people who pay subscriptions and have data.

The fact that they can tell if someone is male or female or an MBTI type makes sense if they have lots of data.

Because they can analyse it for patterns and some people show patterns outside the norm.

(the software makes links between data points and is tested for accuracy, and other things I do not know about with math statistics)

Bipolar is part of my diagnosis and as a male thats not exacly something people understand very well in society.

People think its anger management issues but it's not just that, I also have to hide how I feel about things because I understand people have insecurities about all kind of issues and if I say too much they get mad at me which of course means I have to explain what I said and they don't like it even more.

This is more with my personal group of people since I never talk to people I do not know but if I did this it be a bad situation as most people just do not understand logic. They feel it threatens their identity in some way when all it is doing is showing how reality could be different. People like to think reality is one way of how they see it and is why politics exists. So I avoid politics or anything that turns into politics. It is more than just voting issues, it's about people's identities on what they believe is true. When I realize something is becoming personal to someone I stop talking about it to them or change how I say what I say in a non threatening manner.

Since bipolar is an emotional roller-coaster I also understand emotions better than average males who often are taught not to feel them and in a biological reality have more success at doing so than females who can feel more publically. Its allowed more for them in some sense. But I understand that bipolar in females is more intense so it makes sense you have had trouble with it.

It's good you found a way to handle your situation the best you can. People can get scared of me when I happen to go off the rails so to speak but really it is because I see them as illogically trying to threaten me from a weak identity standpoint and I yell at them for telling me shit that is not true about me, but this is rare and only in extreme circumstances this happen. So not that often. But it is true people have weak identities try to protect themselves by threatening your identify. I still act logically but not in ways that threaten people.

Yeah, me too.

The other time I'll just stop talking is when a person makes snap, superficial judgments against people for the things they struggle with. Like they can't understand why an addict doesn't just stop. Or who thinks kids with ADHD are just spoiled. I will make one attempt to introduce new information, and if they shut me down, I just stop talking and make it a point to avoid them in the future.

I hear you. It's so unfair. :(
