  • WOW, thanks for taking the time to spell all that out! That is a HUGE help and gives me a lot of places to leap from in further studies.

    *Looks up resting tone*

    When I pick progressions like that it is all through feeling, same with words in my poems/lyrics. It is one of the few times I really find expression and if I am not in sync with my emotions then I just can't seem to do it. That is why I don't write much.

    I have been really trying to temper myself to get into better rhythm and more consistent. Using proper tempo and using proper 'space' (like knowing what to emphasize, and not just trying to play as much as I can as fast as I can) are two of my biggest problems.

    That book I was telling you about is fiction, but it offers a lot of interesting perspectives to help shape music, that definitely gave me a lot to ponder. Thanks!

    I had recently found a flamenco song that was in the key of E flat phrygian (I think?) and I had a lot of fun just playing along with that.

    D major? How did you determine the key, just by looking at the notes in each chord and then finding which scale they fit into?
    VERY impressive!

    Dsus2 -> F#min#5 (Bmin7 without the low B)

    Then C -> Cmaj7 -> Emin -> Amin7
    I like rough, makes me feel like I am hanging out. My old buddies in Des Moines had a punk band called the EZ Cheerleaders, they changed their name, but I love their music.
    hehe, I wondered who would get it and comment first. I'm waiting for your other head to say something!
    Wear purple, yo! That's the answer to everything :P

    Oh, and a cool hat. Here, you can borrow mine:
    Haha, no problem. And if you can find me a nice hunk of man, I wouldn't be complaining at all :)
    Eh! It's more than oright!

    Keep it up and I might turn you into a Knight one day! :D

    and you can have the sugar one if you like. Noble people share. =)
