  • Splendidly, my darling. Just kicking back, chillaxing and trying to avoid the chaos of the G8 and G20 summit. Saw "Knight and Day" last night. :)
    How is your weekend?
Well I am officially in Massachusetts. Today was my first full day here. I have a lot going on still but all in all I feel pretty good about where I am. :)

    What about you hon?
I've always liked the crazy characters... They add zest to life. <3

(and you're not fully clean unless your zest fully clean, or something like that. )

    <---- is super cheesy! haha..

Anyway, carry on with the insanity. :D
It's an effing nightmare. I don't mind the heat but the humidity is gross. Tomorrow it should be worse... in the '90s and storms all day... And I'm supposed to go to the pride parade tomorrow!

No my friend. You are not suffering alone. Midwest solidarity.
    You too,
can be a crazy lefty pinko moonbat!

    ::said in dazzling infomercial voice::
Yea right, I am SO not cut out for language, then again, foreign language is always about perseverance, lots of vocab to soak up. I am more wanting the reading portion of it more than anything else. There are so many differences in dialectics of different areas that it is just a mess to speak, although Egyptian is becoming the most predominant colloquial form, I might move into that after I finish with MSA.

Speaking MSA (Modern Standard Arabic) is sort of like walking around in an English speaking nation and talking Shakespearean, lol. Although, MSA is still used on the news, in papers, etc.
Do you grow out your nails for fingerpicking or do you use some sort of pick/glue-on nail?
I actually just recently acquired a flamenco guitar, still waiting to receive it.
    Yes, I am self-learning Arabic.
LOL, not much new here, hoping to finish Monte Cristo this weekend, practicing guitar right now, and get some more Arabic done. Other than that nothing big planned. I took today off.
Yes indeed... I'm sure you'll be able to spend time with your mother after school is out. And tea and a cigar sounds good too, but I bet it would be better if it was some raspberry vodka and stogies :D I was thinking today about how much I wish I could be with you and a few others here irl, making hilarious posts together and all racing to the bathroom between fits of giggles lol :D
hey hun I miss goofing around with you on the funny threads! I just wanted to stop by and tell you that, and I love ya dear daughter. You should stop by and have tea with your dear old mom :p *hugs*
Honestly bud I don't think they have to be. I believe dues have to be paid when yer first getting started but if the talent is there then the money should be as well, least eventually eh?

None of my attempts at trying to build a band ever came to fruition, course...stage fright was always a real bitch for me. Was tough enough to stand up for karaoke but once I sat back and let the big dog eat I had a good time. My sister always had a fair amount of musical talent and my voice complimented her whenever we would harmonize on a song together, still enjoy doing that so much whenever time permits. All in all I miss picking even though I have no clue what exact chord coincides with a particular sound, I always pluck and thumb my bass on a rythm that flows with the rythm of the song and sounds closest to a match.
