  • Obviously the song has to do with sex... DUH! (sarcasm) Every time I look at peoples interpretation of a strange song, almost always someone relates it to sex without clear evidence. I think it has to do with inner turmoil... either that, or it's just me...

No, I'm not really feeling disturbed. I'm more feeling... numb I guess (with maybe a pinch of disturbance... but that's normal I hope...). I feel like a loser cuz I don't know what to do with myself. Perhaps I need to change my perspective and say "yey, I have two jobs and working full time" instead of "I'm working minimum wage and I see no future with these jobs" I just want to move up the ladder, but I feel stupid. I barely know how to cook. This is what happens when you have grown up with a mother that doesn't teach you shit... I'm starting from the ground up.. I love my mother :D
What needs explaining? You know I'm black.. but only on Tuesdays ( well that joke was a fail o.o )

I filled out this form online and they give you mail containing further info on the coast guard. I only got one letter so far, and it's just basic stuff. I don't know when I will receive more info. I plan to head to the recruitment center sometime, but no, I have not gone yet. The asvab test is something everybody takes and that test shows you where you best fit for duty. I'm interested in being a mechanic so I should be studying on the math department and learn automobile, shop terminology, and tool use. Stuff like that. I have an asvab for dummies book, I just got to get myself in the habit of studying. I gotta get on this stuff.

I don't know why it's so hard for me to focus. I wonder if I have ADD or something
Oh, ha! You're right. The coast guard is not apart of the military. It's the department of homeland security. I have heard that the military is more tough. What are some things that make training different exactly? Say, have you ever thought about joining the military or navy?

You should make another music blog, and show people your progress.

No I have not finished reading the book.. in fact, I barely pick it up. I takes a lot out of me to get myself to read..
I really do need to push myself though. If I want to have good opportunity in the coast guard, I have to study for the asvab test.
Damn, I feel so dull right now... time to play some grudge music

p.s. The hip boy that flies away... he's my son
Yes, I can't say that I don't feel stuck. I just need to make a goal for myself. Wanting to join the military is a start, but I really need to figure things out. Just learning independence is important, and I feel like I'm slowly catching on.
How about you? Are you missing the firehouse days or just enjoying the Y?
Haha! It occurs to me that we are the same age, so this could account for some of the similar games played and similar nostalgia-inducing shows. Then again, I have only conversed with a few people who were familiar with some of these games, shows etc. *shrug* ^_^

Chrono Trigger is a great game, it'll always have a special place in my heart. I remember there was this one remix of a song based on the theme in 2300AD that I liked, Ruined World (Eternal Derelict). Ergh, I am the worst. I need to listen to happier music, but this is what sticks with me the most. :P Also, there's Memories of Green, a bit of a lighter tune and Schala's Theme. I enjoyed Chrono Cross, too, think I was 10 when I first played it. The entire soundtrack of that game is just... omg. Yasunori Mistuda composed (at least co-composed for CT) for both CT and CC, and his music is lovely.

I didn't really connect with many of the later FF games, either. I did like this song from 10, Wandering Flame. 12 relied a bit heavily on graphics to sell itself. :/

Yar, I've gotten a gold in 7, figured it would be useful to get Knights of the Round... though they could have used a shorter animation sequence for the summon. *_*
it's a cool one :) I've not had the chance to listen to as much interesting music this week-- too preoccupied. I'm in the mood of a totally revolutionary experience tonight--- can't find any ones local :P
I've a problem with reading-- often I'll start a book and read it for a bit then leave it and have trouble getting back in. This Christmas I was given 'Visions of Earth' by National Geographic, gonna take a look at it--- this night is a boring one :[
How's it going with your cold? I posted a new song in the thread, think you'll like it :D and the video is pretty interesting as well
Dude that's mean, but it did about sum up the day -_-
There were younger chicks, but I couldn't get myself to go over and talk to them

    Curses!
Well you don't really join, or sign up, you can just show up. It's nice to come an hour early because they serve food, and that's the best way to interact with people. There's plenty of people that show up and are sitting at tables. The hard part is getting myself to sit at a table WITH people. This one lady was nice enough to invite me to sit with her and I had a talk with her and this older guy. They start off with worship as usual and then we listen to the sermon for an hour & half. I should have stayed a little while afterwards so I could talk to new people, but I just left. I should try and make an effort for next time instead of running out the door :P
Yeah, it has been a while since I saw it. The song stuck with me, though (songs tend to do that...).
    Ohhh what are they about?

I'm reading "The Prince" by Machiavelli ... I was told that I could skip over the first 15 chapters of the book by my professor but I'd rather still go through it.

I love that photo you chose... who is the artist? Do you have a link to his other works?
It's difficult to choose a favorite FF. I've always been a fan of some of the older installments (especially 4 and 6), Tactics (I listened to the song Requiem from this game as a child and fell in love with it; its soundtrack in general is lovely [Hitoshi Sakimoto is an excellent composer, in my humble opinion, alongside Nobuo Uematsu, both of whom composed for the series]), 7 (I spent a good chunk of time just raising chocobos. Don't judge...), and lately 12 has started growing on me. I guess I just kind of feel like it could have had a more involved storyline, maybe a little more character development, but the atmosphere was great. The game itself wasn't that difficult, but mark hunting kept that aspect of it engaging. :] FF9 had some charm to it, too, as did 8, though they definitely had a different feel to them.

    Rambling. Will stop now. X)
