The year was 1993 and I came up with the name for my first hero character whom was a race of my own invention. I named him after the female warrior woman Scathach who taught Cu Chulainn to use the Gae Bulg, a barbed spear thrown with the foot. I liked the story, changed the name a little and thought it would fit well with a barbarian. Almost 17 years later the name just feels good and I don't mind using it as an avatar. I pronounce it Skath Ack
