  • lol! there was nothing but my head crashing. There were some crazy conservation of energy problems that made my brain hurt. It`s amazing how a concept so simple can solve problems so complicated.

Ha! that`s why I refuse to take medication for minor problems. I avoid meds as much as possible, unless it`s really important and crucial to my health. I always discuss my options with my doctor and I always read up on the diagnosis and on the meds if there are any. We shouldn't just gulp down anything they give us. I beleive in making educated decisions!

Well there is no economic system that is perfect. Pure Capitalism is the best way to enrich a country so quickly. However, like you said, it can get out of hand and ruin lives in the process. I`m still reading up on different economic systems, it`s an interesting topic. I thought the Bill of Rights can only be invoked by people. I did hear of newspapers and new channels that invoke it, but corporations also?

I remember learning in my Professional Practice class that, according to the Professional Code, you are not allowed to advertise for things that are not true. But that`s in Quebec, I don't know about other provinces.

To be honest I am a lil worried about being on the job after I graduate. Engineering has come closely tied with business recently. There isn`t much creativity or innovation anymore. It`s all about how to make something `s production costs less, yet still be efficient.
haha thank you for the rep points im glad you liked that (: first time i saw that couldn't help but burst out laughing, love the cave mans blank face before he starts dancing lol d: i like your fun with computer parts pics, are you involved with computers where you work?
Long day, gotta get in bed afore too long to get up for work. Check my blog if you want a nice recipe for chicken and dumplings. How was your day bud?
If you do find some of the journals that are free download pdf versions please send the links, I'd appreciate it very much!
I read Tropic of Cancer and it was interesting, though not as any of Anais' works, at at least not for me, but that might be because the female voice is more appealing to me . But he was an interesting figure, and I really love the first person narrative and stream of consciousness that he used occasionally. I'm contemplating of reading his Quiet days in Clichy soon.
Nope, I took a translated version from the library. I'm trying to find her journals in English and in pdf because they are not all translated here, and I'd like to read more.

The first thing that I read from her was a journal named Henry and June (they even made a film after it with Uma Turman), and it was a revelation in itself because of the way she writes, it's a very interesting view into a woman's mind and soul and mostly sexuality. She was already married at that time, and she met Henry Miller (have you read anything from him?), and he turned her world upside down. June was a Henry Miller's lady friend and although she herself never had a sexual relationship with Anais (it's not really clear what really happened between them because the journal was censured by Anais), they had a platonic relationship filled with sexual energy, and it's an interesting read really.
What I'm reading now is a book of erotic stories that she wrote for money and out of fun, but they are quite good. And I'm a big fan of her journals, I write the similar way as she does, but I must admit that I'm not that uninhibited even in my journals, as she is.
I was so distracted by cute and funny pictures that I didn't notice the song lyrics at all until you've mentioned it. :D :D :D Very funny, but you are not getting your brains back, they are too delicious. :P

I'm good. I went into the lazy mode this weekend and watched some old law and order svu episodes and read some Anais Nin book.

    How's your weekend so far?
Well, if you were a CEO then that's what you SHOULD do. Because if you don't, then you'll either go bankrupt, OR you'll have other companies in the same industry at your throat trying to stop you or bring you down. I think the business world is putting a lot of restraint on our development as well as innovation. It's a sad fact indeed.

I don't know about Big Pharma hiding cures, but what I read about it is this. Not sure how credible this site is tho.

and now, I'm off to the studies of dynamics and impulse motion of rigid bodies! yay!
Sad that I can't give you rep for posts on my visitors board. :D I liked that video very much, thank you!

How's Count going on? Are you closer to the end of it?
    Makes sense.

I'm just eager to understand the dynamic between them more. I'm thinking I soon will, as I know this is not the end of Danglars in the book.
Yeah.. I just wish I understood more about Danglars' hatred... because it just seems kind of senseless.. they had a fight.. he refused a duel.. so he does this.. What was the argument about? Will I ever know? I just would like to understand what drove him to such a plot..
haha, oright! one day it'll happen. :P Your love and thirst for knowledge is indeed impressive!

and you were right, the song that russ posted is BEAUTIFUL!
    haha, I'm glad. =)

really? I'll check it out. If only I can find a good duet of violin and guitar. I heard one a long time ago, and it was amazing but I can't remember the name. It's frustrating.

You should let me listen to you playing the guitar one day.
It's no problem. Don't feel embarrassed! I lol'd because I thought it was cute, not because I thought it was funny and worth laughing at. I apologize if I made you feel bad. :( Don't hesitate to send me anything you want looked at, you can even PM me, if you're more comfortable that way. And I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

I speak french as well, learned it at a young age ( even tho I didn't like it) and went to a french high school for 2 years. I may be a lil rusty because all my studies are now in English. But with a lil bit of practice I think I can get it all back.

Yeah, sure. I'll try to find something when I'm done. If not, I'll ask my mother for the books she used to read to me.

Sounds like a good book. Don't let me keep you from it! Hopefully, I'll get the chance to read it too. Enjoy!
Well if you ever want me to check out something for you, or correct it let me know. I was first in my class for literature and grammar back home, and enjoyed writing very much. I read a lot of poetry in Arabic too. It's how I found Khalil Gibran.

I just made an account in livemocha.com in the hopes to learn German.

I will let you know how it went. Hopefully, it'll be good news. =) My last test is on Tuesday. So I have two days to study for it.

Count of Monte Cristo...isn't that a classical?
LOL!!! If I wasn't a native speaker I would have had a hard time understanding that. I can tell it's a word by word translation. Terrible syntax and sentence structure...that and you wrote it from left to write, when it should be the other way around.

Regardless! It was a sweet attempt. =) Thank you for asking.

I am not sure how I did, it was long and complicated so I wasn't confident with my answers and I am really worried. I spent most of yesterday and last night studying...I got 4 hours of sleep that's it, and was ruining on 2 cups of coffee this morning. *sigh* I am just exhausted. But, 2 down and one more to go! so I gotta keep going.

How have you been? Enjoying the long weekend? done any interesting readings?
So far I'm almost wanting to seek revenge on behalf of Dantes myself!
