  • You're modest, but you're clearly better read than most. It's not really how much one reads, but how well they understand it. Many public school students read and learn by rote and then forget it almost as quickly as it took to read. I figure your education likely gave you a sense of stability that you understandably lacked from moving so often, and so you absorbed it and remember it far better than most students. Depending on where you go to university, you may be surprised by the amount of ignorant and lazy students although there are many varied and interesting people to meet. =)
That is truly impressive. You have travelled more than most throughout their entire lives by such a young age. I have travelled very little in my life, preferring to think, read, and reflect. You seem very well read also.
I'm working on an assessment for you now, but will likely not finish it until tomorrow night. I may not finish until Monday depending on how much time I spend with my mother due to the holiday. Just wanted to give you a heads up. =)
I am not so good at drawing people either...well people who LOOK like real people. I'm decent with anime style though.

    I've been well.
I still need to clean my room LOL. I haven't cleaned it since spring break in march and it looks like a Hurricane tore through.
I have currently been working on a piece with my choir and symphony called Mahler's 8th Symphony. It's utterly ridiculous, and half of it is in Latin and the other half is in German.
Talk about completely opposite diction/vowel rules.
No need to thank me, I love exploring different genres/types of music - rewarding experience(s). Nice tunes : )
I remember feeling that way hehe.

I have full faith that you will make it through with flying colours.
Just make sure to get your sleep. Are you polyphasic?
Also, where are you going for college?

As for moi, I am on the last leg of my finals; Physics, and after that, it's unwinding and then beginning my many summer endeavours, which include studying, volunteering, and shadowing
Hahaha, I can relate. Sometimes, there is a feeling of "satiety" once you're done reading a book. As if you, indeed, just had a very delicious feast.

If you ever pick a up a book for Coelho, I suggest "The Alchemist", a book he's famous for.
No reason to laugh. I like how you think and extrapolate with very little information to draw on. That was pleasant to read. :]

I had trouble posting my message too.
That is possible. It's just that it negates the reflective philosophy he usually portrays in his writings. The author is Paulo Coelho. I don't know if you've hear of him.

Thank you for the rep, though. :]
A member I talk to often (either Sandra or Ria, but Ria practices it) brought it up about a year or so ago whilst we were chatting.
I told her that I would want to learn it someday (I wasn't expecting "someday" to come so soon)
The day I realized I should study Reiki was when I laid hands on a man in church while we were praying, and felt them grow very warm, almost hot.
A few months later, he came back cancer free. A lot of people have also told me that there is something "special" about my hugs and how they feel they are being healed from within when they receive one from me. One thing led to another and I found myself completely at home for the first time in a long time in my Reiki class haha :D

I think my teacher brought that up before; perhaps Reiki is the Japanese counterpart to that.

    And you are most welcome!
If it makes you feel better, there is a reason I tend to not reply to VMs at night; my brain is in the process of shutting down for the night, and probably at least half of what I will type will be complete and utter gibberish.

A Neurosurgeon sounds like a great career: Very long residency, but I think you can handle it. And don't worry, you will have plenty of time to learn.

I'm planning to keep it low key. My best friend and I are going out to dinner and to enjoy the end of April warm weather.
I don't plan to drink, but it could happen. I think I like the idea of being able to drink legally moreso than the actual act of drinking.
In any case, I will be in the midst of finals :p.
Either Pediatrics or Family Practice: I like the idea of being a family doctor...I'll figure it out when I do my rotations.
    Reiki uses the fact that the body is composed of energy centers and that when there is an imbalance, pain or illness can ensue, so it works to balance those;
Essentially, in most cases, the body will begin to heal itself innately. However, this isn't to be used in lieu of medical treatment/seeing a Doctor.
Hmm, so are you looking into psychiatry or into being a neurosurgeon? Or both?

I've been good : ) I am riding the long stretch now until the end of the semester in early may.
I am also counting down the days until I turn 21 (24 days)
I'm looking into volunteering at the Children's Hospital over the summer in addition to taking my MCAT preparation course.
I've also been honing my Reiki technique by practicing as much as I can, with interesting results.
    Yes, very good : )

And I would ask your advisor that question, but I put my money on biology.
I can see you with a major in biology and a minor in psychology.
