It's on Steam but you have to pay for it. The non-steam version is free, you pay for extra content.

There's no Linux native but I've seen a couple people get it to run.

Hello sir, what are your thoughts on 8gb RAM vs 16gb? I plan on using Adobe software in CS3-5 range (so not as much space as CS6), itunes, word processing, VERY light gaming (non-demanding indie games)... maybe audio editing as well, but casually; and then email/web browsing.

I currently have a 4gb system going on 5 years of use, and it's still running well, though one day it will need to be replaced.

What are your plans once you finish college? Is there a particular sector of IT you want to get into.

That is a long and winding road. At college I did a BA degree in English philosophy and theology, intending to go teaching once finished. That decision changed once I actually had some teaching experience. I've mostly worked in administrative and data analysis roles. I spent most of this last year in a virtualization and cloud management course, planning to use the experience to go into business analysis. However I've learned that I really like working on computers so I'm unsure what I'll do.

I get an allowance, but it's just to cover everyday costs while doing the internship.

I spent my last year of college slacking off and studying the night before the exams. They say that cramming doesn't work, but I did ok.

Does your time here as a tech admin interfere with your studies?

I'm good, still working in tech support as an intern. No pay and you get as much work as everyone else, but at least it's interesting.

Likewise! I've been keeping with a good sleeping schedule. That seems to help lots in replenishing energy.
