There was a TSA (Terms of Service Agreement) between Pfizer and Boehringer-Ingelheim. I work for Pfizer. So under the original conditions BI (Boehringer) gets off of our file servers, and pretty much completely off of our network by a certain date. That means they migrate whatever servers are conveyed to them, take the network infrastructure, and migrate intellectual property.
Well both sides don't seem to have the ability to tie their own shoes, let alone split and migrate an entire site. Boehringer pushed back the TSA, but Pfizer didn't push back their layoffs. So, you kind of see how this is playing out...
I would have walked WAY earlier but when I finish this out (hopefully NovembeR) and they finally lay me off, then I get half a year's salary through severence. Plus, closing out a merger is a very good thing for the resume.
What has been keeping you busy? Or is it personal?
