Game of Thrones (show)

I thought Jaime left Winterfell to go kill Cersei not fight beside her. Anyone else get that? She's hateful but he's also hateful enough to kill her. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.

I got more of the impression he was riding back to come to her defense but now really thinking about it that makes no sense to me. He rode north to fight Night King and then decided to stay, but changed his mind. I'm not understanding his motive. I will say I always expected him to go back south. It's a solid hunch to think he will be killed and Aria will use his face to get close to Cersei. Not sure. Honestly i'm trying to turn off Ni and just view the series. Stop planning it cause it's not going to end how I expect or want Maybe want is the wrong word..... its not the ending we deserve but the ending we needed.

I got the impression he thought that the only way to end things was to take Cersei out himself. It's difficult to see him suddenly going to fight for her. (She did just send Bronn to assassinate him. Unless that's like a valentine for him. )
He doesn't think he's a good man ; but he is the only man who can get the job done.
Maybe he wants to end her but also go to die with her. It's bleak but that's what I got.

I can't stop compulsively analyzing the motives of anyone, irl or on TV.

Hi I'm Daustus and I'll analyze what people say and do. It's been 1 minute since my last online post about GOT. GOT is my current trigger but I am also set off by Brenda at work. Can we talk about Brenda? (Joke there is no Brenda)

Fucking hell , this episode was an absolute mess...

I understood Jaime's storyline in the episode to be running alongside Arya's 'it's not me' and in line with the episode's theme of family sticking together. He admitted that he hated the north, he didn't want things growing on him, and he was listening attentively to Bronn's speech about lords being nothing but cutthroats and thieves.... and its in line with what he said that he would do everything again for his family. Self-betterment wasn't feeling right for him. Being with Brienne didn't feel right either. The north isn't his home. His home is by Cersei's side. And he realized, when Sansa said she wishes she could be there for Cersei's execution, that he's on the wrong side. He doesn't want his sister/lover and their unborn child to die by dragons.

This is a possibility. I did wonder which way this would go when he gave his speech to Brienne. He's either playing the part full-tilt so he can get close to Cersei, or he is truly blinded by love. Cersei is carrying his child, though, so that could sway him and throw a wrench into the fan theory that he will be the one to kill Cersei.
Poor Brienne. It was easily predictable that she and Jaime would get together, but there are few happy endings in GOT. I'm hoping the ending of the series breaks the habit of tragic endings, because I'd like to see someone awesome win.
I lost interest in GOT for a few seasons and read or did something else while watching it w/ my SO. I'm now wishing I had rewatched the series so I would have picked up on the more subtle clues.

Me, neither. I assess everything/everyone a bit too much.

LOL! LOL!

PS: I'm kind of happy and laughing that Twitter is ablaze over Jon Snow and Ghost.

Jon, pet your wolf goodbye and tell him he is a good boy.

Most stupidest goodbye ever.
But maybe it was too painful for him. It's kind of more heart wrenching thinking about it that way.
But really I think he just didn't give af. He's preoccupied with dragon lady thoughts.

I am just waiting for the reboot/movie series once the books are complete now.
With only two episodes left, I can tell it's going to fall flat in a lot of ways.
Everyone dies, Bran made it all happen. Some asshat takes the throne. The end.

edit: wow I can't even spell throne today
