Sometimes.

I would rather imagine a utopia that involves healthy competition and some struggles to overcome.

Where people have the chance to strive against odds and unfairness to do the very best they can, to see the outcome of their labour in real time, and eventually the positive effect of their dedication reflected in the environment around them, hopefully. In a world like this I would want to work and play, even if the work/play is challenging, and shapes me as an individual, because it has the potential to leave me with a deep and lasting sense of satisfaction, and gratitude.

After this I'd expect the game to be over, and marked by a return to something beyond ordinary consciousness. I may be reborn once more, into another time, another place, perhaps a whole 'nother dimension, or just cease to know or be anything. I am a flesh-and-bones human, but my soul is a metaphysical passenger in time and space.

Huh, weird.

Interesting, thank you for your response. And in some senses, although I am adverse to competition as the basis of social organization, I think a utopia might allow for the overcoming of more significant struggles than the base ones we currently face; that is, existential (or spiritual) struggles, artistic struggles, rather than the mere struggle to secure the necessities of life.

I may be reborn once more, into another time, another place.

Transmigration of souls is a fascinating idea—even as an imaginative exercise, it presents a potentially fruitful way of looking at life.

Mine would be on where socialism comes naturally and there are no governments.

what you are about to get is a communist one where you are controlled by a centrally run technocracy

which would be a long way away from what you want so it might be time to start paying attention to the 5G SMART grid that is going up

I could see how one might assume that initially, but I assure you that this is not the case in the utopia that I described.

In order for socialism to come naturally, and for there to be no need for government, people would have to have little to no selfish desires (and what little desires they may have would be outweighed by their desire to serve their fellow man). Which, of course, isn’t possible unless we take on the mind of Christ and love our neighbors as ourselves (which, unfortunately, means it won’t happen in this life).

is this your argument for an all powerful and centralised government?

or for AI takeover?

Neither. It’s basically wishful thinking along the lines of “if only people used what’s in their chest instead of what’s in their skull.” Which is a bit unrealistic, but then again... so is utopia.

Exactly. It's a great, imaginative space in which people can enjoy looking at the world as it ought to be, rather than merely as it is.
