President Donald Trump

I think the biggest problem is what constitutes racism for some people. Just today I read a story about a librarian refusing a Doctor Suess book describing it as racist. Racism has a clear definition folks. A time will come when a person is asked to describe someone they will be scared to denote the color of their skin if it's anything but white. Hey folks, people have different color skin. That or you will simply be considered racist for being white. Oh wait, that's already happened.
Black people want racism to be about black people alone. That's simply been proven in the news reports and the reaction from those people who claim to stand for ALL minorities rights. Whens the last time you saw a story run about a Russian immigrant who was set upon because he was Russian? Exactly.
Don't ever suggest that slavery isn't and has never been a black only ordeal. Thats enough to get you chased out of town at the very least. And yet, slavery has been and has always been present in human history and continues today in different forms. Every race of people in the world has known what it's like to be enslaved at one point or another. I'm part Irish among many other things. I don't complain about slavery in the past of Irish people. Hell some of my ancestors come from Scotland and England.
Fight racism when you see it. Trump has done not a single thing, not a SINGLE thing I have seen or heard about that's even remotely racist. I understand people don't like him. All I want him do is the job he promised to do. I'm not overly joyed with the way he conducts himself at all times. But let's be honest about why people dislike him and continue to attack him. They don't like the policies he supports. End. So stop the stupid other crap. Of course you won't. You are rabidly sick at this point. Every other week a new celeb calling out for the assaination of a US President quietly being overlooked by most of the media while being lauded in the back rooms of the elite who all quietly hope they can whip some poor lost soul into actually doing what they fantasize about. Those that eat and spew the misguided hate are all guilty. You can pat yourselves on the back when you usher in the final straw and breaking point.

I think you are mistaking prejudice for racism. and when exactly were your Irish ancestors enslaved?

Have you heard of the red legs of Barbados?
Many of the Redlegs' ancestors were forcibly transported by Oliver Cromwell consequent to his Conquest of Ireland.[2] Others had originally arrived on Barbados in the early to mid-17th century as indentured servants.[citation needed] Small groups of Germans and Portuguese were also imported as plantation labourers.[citation needed]
I am certainly not saying that the Irish have not been victimized since the time of the Norman incursions starting in the mid eleven hundreds, my own grandparents were of the generation that wrestled their farmlands away from their English landords. I am also well aware of the atrocity that was the Famine in Ireland in the mid 1800s and the death ships and the "shoveling out" of unwanted Irish men and women from their homeland. These things have had a direct affect on my family.
But in the context of generational slavery... I mean really.

Yes, comparatively speaking.

Although, @Stu, my question to you hasn't been in that context. I haven't read the entire thread. I just found it odd you'd dismiss it so outright.

THE GATES OF HELL OPENED?!
Scientists are afraid that they have opened the gates of hell.
A geological group who drilled a hole about 14.4 kilometers deep (about 9 miles) in the crust of the earth, are saying that they heard human screams.
Screams have been heard from the condemned should from earth's deepest hole.
Terrified scientists are afraid they have let loose the evil powers of hell up to the earth's surface.

(It must be true, it was on the internet)

I feel like the overall narrative is so far removed from discussing actual policy at this point that this statement is incredibly laughable

It wasn't until WWII that the irish in america became fully integrated. There are 2 kinds of Irish Americans, the kind that forget generations of oppression while enjoying full membership in white America, and those that remember it and feel the absence of socio-economic justice that pervades it.
