Presidential candidate discussion for 2016

Im getting real upset here guys.

There is absolutely something unstable with Trump. At first I thought it was an act but now realize its part of his personality.
I cant and wont support socialism ever but... Trump is absolutely not the President we need.
I mean.. we had Obama and who thought it could ever get worse. If we have Trump its like we are daring the gods to up themselves.

My uncle is absolutely convinced that the Democrats and specifically Hillary Clinton have hired Trump to play this part and implode the GOP.
But, maybe that’s is really people’s mentality…I would prefer conspiracy to the downright ignorant.

@Skarekrow I will invoke Hanlon's Razor here. In summary: "never assume bad intentions when assuming stupidity is enough"

Hers some real insight into the Trump phenomenon

It would be fascinating from a sociological standpoint if it weren’t such a frightening prospect that the man could be put in charge of the largest military in the world.
Not to mention the blatant disregard for any consequences for his actions or statements.
Not presidential material in the slightest.

Yes it scares me. I really can't do much to influence the outcome because it's not my country and I don't get a vote. The may account for some of my detachment, You are an American Skarekrow so things are different for you. I see you are living in a blue state (WA) your ability to influence the election outcome may be greater if you move to Ohio or Florida.

I know…but then I’d have to live in Ohio or *shuddders* Florida.

February 04, 2016, 01:07 pm [h=1]Report: Powell, Rice staff received classified emails on private accounts[/h] By Harper Neidig
what is that saying about the gander?

what is that saying about the gander?

Hardly anything close to having their own private server. Apples and oranges.
As a note I heard that Clintons IT guy is singing like a canary

Rice did not have dual accounts, those that are now marked "confidential" were sent to private accounts from her gov acct.
Somehow I think if she ran against Trump and Clinton she would probably help Trump

She has admitted to having confidential emails sent to a private account. This is not denial. There are huge variances to these tales. Seriously. I do know how closely you have been following it but the differences dont place this even close to the same league at all.
Im confident enough to want to see Rice run. She would make an actual President. Not some side show freak fest like we have now.

Trump's Chicago rally was just shut down by hundreds of protestors. Hell yeah, occupy Trump. Gtfo, beyotch! (That's my highly intellectual take on the presidential candidate discussion.)

And now Trump's Cincinnati rally was cancelled! Let this be the beginning of the end for him. People will not tolerate a megalomaniac who thinks he could command our military to commit war crimes. Looks like the Trump train may be losing steam.

Its interesting. I dont like Trump but the more rallies that are infiltrated by violence seeking groups and individuals using violence to influence free speech make me want to vote for him. These are the same people who have likened him to a Nazi using Nazi tactics themselves to influence an outcome.

That's a horrible reason to vote for someone. Trump uses violence (at rallies) and violent rhetoric. What do you expect? It's a shit show all around. There is nothing respectable out of his message. He has free speech....... The government isn't shutting him down, it's citizens who are done with his garbage.

It is a horrible reason to vote for someone. Trump is not using violence, it is being brought in relation to the fact some people dont like what he says. You cant turn around and blame their actions on Trump. I have not heard everything Trump has said but I have not heard any violent rhetoric. Aggressive ? Yes.
The fact is these people are displaying the very tendencies they say they aborh.

He is a demagogue using the collective rage and prejudices of a large portion of the population to fuel his campaign. He will even say himself he is appealing to people's anger. His platform is one of rage and aggression and violence. Everything he stands for. He has said at his own rallies that he would like to punch protesters. He encourages violence from his supporters. If you have not heard or read violent rhetoric from him, it is because you aren't paying attention.

You would be content to vote for someone who has called for the murder of innocent civilians (because they are supposedly related to terrorists?) The fact that he sees nothing wrong in this, not even from a legal standpoint, should concern you. He wants to be a despot. Did you watch the last debate? How is it not obvious how out of his depth he is? He cannot even speak intelligently about foreign policy or economic policy. Everything he says is repetitive and at a 4th grade level. "I'll make deals. Deals you wouldn't believe, better deals than anyone else has ever made." Does this not embarrass you as a voter? I cannot stand Hillary Clinton, however, given a choice between her and Trump, I will be voting for Clinton. I do not want to see America involved in a 3rd world war over this man's ego.

Those that oppose Trump are human. People are afraid for their communities and for their country when it comes to him. Do you think people should just politely sit down and take it when he comes to town and spews his vitriol and violent rhetoric? He throws protesters out of his rallies. He does not respect other people's rights of speech. (Haven't seen other candidates do this to protestors... other candidates really don't have this problem, though.) If he is elected, people will riot. It will not go well. We are at a pivotal place in American history right now.

Im not disagreeing with all of what you say and you are responding to me as if I am a Trump supporter which I am not.
Give me specific quotes from Trump where he has used violence as a talking point or statement please. Rage even...
I see aggression but I am fine with that.
What I find remarkable is that these voters who are disrupting Trump rallies through use of violence dont get that people disliked Obama on a far greater level but never resorted to violence to get him to shut up. It seems those against Obama were far better behaved than those against Trump.
