Thanks for your answer, and forgive the fog. I was asked to shuffle the cards until they were ready for her to read for me. Therefore, I prayed a good bit and such while shuffling. She told me I rated highest spiritually of everyone she had read. That was back before Google and such, so I wondered why she asked me why there were so many cup cards. I had no idea, but told her she did not need the cards. She agreed.

Of course. My cup overfloweth.

Drink from this cup, for it is my blood.

The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of mine cup.

And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

I relate it to spirituality, good or bad. I relate it to the water sign. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. It is something I have studied most of my life.

The woman could read a person without using cards: quite well. My prayers were that she see Jesus.

Maybe she did see Jesus and wasn't into it.
 
I don't feel like drowning in an icy river any more so I'm coming back to this thread. I know I have open requests here. If anyone above still wants a quick and fun reading I'll do it. If you want to throw away your old questions for something new, that is also fine.

I'll do 10 this weekend - giving priority to anyone that asked but who I haven't yet answered.
 
Celtic Cross...query "What will my meditation practice lead to this year?"
1. 4 of swords
2. 9 of wands
3. the fool
4. 8 of pentacles

8. 5 of cups

10. The Emporer
I did not know to note which card was in the inverse and have been working with the images and interpretations in LLewellyn and random sites on line....been contemplating the 9 of swords...my practice, while done almost every day for 30 mins yields little mystically. I have been at it of and on for years and very consistent since march

I generally don't read Celtic Cross spreads because I find it boxes me in too much. What do you make of the reading for yourself?
 
I found the specificity enthralling. The 4 of Swords as the "now card" reflects deep contemplation, the nine of wands as challenge reflects steadfast readiness to re-engage with the struggle, the fool as the past card has implications of individuation arising from non differentiation (and so much else), the 8 of pentacles as the immediate future calling me to engage in the work as skillfully as I am able, the goal card being the Queen of Wands indicates an evolution towards the flowering of my anima and then the 9 of swords in the 6th position is where I am in this point of my interpretation...it represents the dark night of the soul to me and reflects more of what I actually deal with in my practice...I have a hard time getting a lock on how it relates to the reading, the other cards and how to deal with it. I do find the whole thing quite meaningful.
