[PAX] The Impeachment of Donald J. Trump

Trump probably won't be impeached regardless of any grounds to do so because the GOP have the majority, however the midterm elections could very well change things in that regard.
Quite true. However, they have assembled a impressive and diverse investigative team so perhaps he may be impeached and land a prision term.

In an effort to look neutral perhaps? Having your party's President impeached is a bad look, but having them impeached within their first term is terrible. The GOP are going to do all they can to defend Trump just to protect themselves as a party.

Strong point. The Repubs have a controlling interest and with Trump all but going rouge it makes for a fine political mess. I don't back Trump in any of his shenanigans...but do believe that they need to reign him in. My personal opinion aside of course.

I haven't been able to read much more than the first two pages... Do you want to know what makes me sad? That one man and his actions could divide so deeply a country I admired so much. For that reason alone, I wish I could impeach his big-baby ar**. And this will hopefully remain my only comment on this topic. Anything else would make this tragedy only hilarious.

You made a comment about me specifically. Don't think for a second I won't set you straight on items like that. And in this regard I am absolutely discrediting you for not having a clue what you are talking about.

What have you “set me straight on” exactly?
You make negative/judgmental comments about me and everyone you talk to constantly.
And if you are not directly doing it to someone you are talking about generalized groups and mouth your hate speech toward them.
As for what I know...you are ridiculous...show me proof then I’m so wrong, you have “discredited” nothing.
You can’t.
You never can.
Your posts are jokes.
Most of what you say is opinion or hyperbole.
Almost everything you post is highly biased and illogical.
You are insulting to people and a bully who personally attacks people when your viewpoint is challenged.
You ignore evidence and instead argue the integrity of Trump and Fox News, Brietbart, etc.
You are disrespectful to people who are only expressing their own opinions and facts, some very kind and nice people here on the forum.
Again, what is your issue?
Do you get some kind of power trip?

As President Trump can devoldge information when he chooses. While you can impeach, conviction will never happen. With what we know at this time anyway.
I will say though Trump may be his own undoing. If he doesn't make good on his promises, all the people who voted for him are not likely to give him a second term.

It's like talking to a wall. What is the point? You can't reason with delusion. So just ignore it and engage with open minded people like me instead. Simple.

Where did you go btw?
I suppose you are correct.
I just really don’t like people who bully others or berate them for a differing opinion.

"As President Trump can devoldge information when he chooses.”

How does that keep Trump from obstructing justice by making such requests?
And then making good on it by firing Comey.
As if he is the Don of some goodfellas.
- And it’s spelled “divulge".

I have not read the Washington post article mainly because I am not a subscriber but it appears that
the Pres was asking them to publicly state there was no evidence if in fact there was not any. They
didn't comply, it would appear, because they did not want their agencies to be overtly political. So
I don't see that as a judgement on whether or not said evidence exists.

I can see how frustrating this must be for Pres T. Not only can't he bully these guys into backing him
up but it seems that any embarrassing thing he says or does becomes public.
It is hard to imagine that this is all the work of Democrats, he really has made enemies in law enforcement
and intelligence agencies.

Found out something interesting today. Collusion is not a crime. If Trump did collude with...or anyone on his team collude with Russia, there is no law against it.
Interesting. I wonder what exactly all the tax payer dollars are going toward at this point?

I understand, but you have to be pragmatic. This is one of many reasons for why I left the forum for 5 months. Until a week ago, I wasn't even considering returning. I have just decided that I am going to make this forum work for me. I just advise you to contemplate as to why you take the bait so easily, and what, if anything, it accomplishes. I feel that acknowledging foolish statements only reinforces them. It's better to just ignore them. Some people simply want a reaction, they want to get a rise out of you, they want to be heard and told they matter. Take the high road. We can learn from arguing with one another. But why debate with somebody who is completely closed off to learning, growing, or changing? It's completely pointless. Do the right thing for yourself. I believe in you. You have enough pain in your life as it is. Why add unnecessary drama to your life? Just prioritize and don't allow anyone to bring you down. Not even Donald. He won't be around much longer. Thankfully. Good day.

Well, "it's not illegal" is a pretty poor defense of anything.

I don't think Trump will be impeached, thank god.

Why?

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/may/21/mike-pence-president-democrats-conservatives

Because I would rather have an incompetent right-wing government under Trump than an efficient one under Pence.

Good point. But if Pence were to become president in 2019, he probably would not have a republican majority in the house and senate the way Donald does now. It looks like it is pretty much inevitable that this administration will completely waste having a republican president and a republican majority in both houses of congress and will therefore accomplish very little. The 2018 budget is already being harshly criticized, as is the health care plan. And tax reform isn't even on the table. And what about infrastructure and border security? Another all talk, no action political movement. Not surprised in the least. I predict by 2022, it will be as if Donald was never president. Let's see.
