I'm starting to feel old. It's already been almost 20 years since The Descent came out. I still remember seeing it in the theater multiple times that summer of 2005. It was one of the best horror films I've ever seen. It was the mid 2000s and at the time I thought the film reminded me of a1970s-style cult classic(the likes of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre style horror), complete with a "poster-perfect" iconic pool of blood scene and grainy pick-axe violence. I'm revisiting The Descent today, and all I can say is: almost 20 years later, it's now going on to be a true classic.
