What YouTube Videos Are You Watching Right Now

@John K you might like this, but it is thorough and a bit long.

Many thanks Ian - I’ll play that through later today. Been meaning to catch up on where the tech is going. There seems to be a much less defined boundary between 360 stills and video so I’ll be interested to see if that’s evolving.

I've played through it now, and it's very interesting - many thanks for posting it. My Ricoh Z1 takes approx 50MP raw files which is considerably lower than at least 2 of these cameras so the tech is moving on at the budget end. They would knock spots off my camera for video because it was aimed at stills for virtual tours by estate agents, and the folks my younger son works for uses it to take 360 stills inside inaccessible places in drains etc.

I think the smart phone software lets the Ricoh down quite a bit and I must go into this with other brands. This video was almost exclusively about video and he didn't say a lot about the controlling method. I'll have to check that out. Something that's irritating is that you can't easily hand hold one of these cameras and fiddle about with the user interface on a smart phone. I guess that's where a drone would be much better, though you'd not be able to use one in the UK for street photography. It's OK if you have the camera on a stand, but that's not always possible or desireable.

What we really want of course is to have ai embedded in the camera that edits me out of the picture when I'm hand holding it. I bet that's on the cards seeing as what Adobe have been putting into Lightroom.

Gemini will already manipulate images in complex and nuanced ways like this, so it's definitely on the horizon in a more widespread manner
